Harry

It was her.

“Harry, your clothes got blood.” One of the girls Liam and the boys were conversing with told me. I take off my coat and there really was blood.

I turn to look at her again. She was staring at me; blood endlessly running down her chin. Her blue eyes - even though it has dopey circles around them- reminded me of someone.

Without forethought, I scooped her from the floor and carried her to the school infirmary. The others yell after me, but I ignore them.

What’s gotten into me?

~

After the last period, I decided to go back to the nurse’s office. I don’t know why, but I just feel like I have to check on her.

“Mate, where’re you going?” Louis asked me.

“Just gonna check something.” I answered inattentively.  Zayn and Liam wolf-whistled together. “Something or someone?” Zayn asked, wiggling his bushy brows.

“Cut it out, okay?” I try to stay calm.

“Let him go. I bet Holy’s dying to see him!” Liam teased. My insides burn for I don’t know what reason it is. But I didn’t let it get to me.

“You’re seeing that psycho?”

That does it.

Bree, like a mushroom, suddenly came out of nowhere.

“I’m just checking on her! So would you guys just shut the hell up?” I roared. A sigh escaped my lips. “I’m cool. “ I added to Louis who was about to approach me.

They all turned silent.

Do I always have to break their eardrums before they really stop?

“Okay, guys let’s go.” Niall told them. “Mate, we’ll wait for you outside.” He calls to Louis and me.

After a moment of silence, Louis finally spoke. “What’s up?”

I run my fingers through my hair and sighed deeply. Still, I didn’t answer him. “Tell me when you’re really cool.” He sounded a little irritated when he said it.

I sound defeated as I muttered, “Okay. Okay."

"Well?"

"She reminds me of Amber.” I told Louis who was about to exit the room. “Man, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.” He said.

“She told me something that really disturbed me.” I cast my eyes at Louis who looked confuse. Then he asked, “Who told you what?”

“Hollie.”

Louis and I get along very well. Indeed, he was my best friend amongst the boys. He understands me more than my parents do. And at times like this, when I’m in total panic and uncertainty, he’s always there to make things easier.

“She told me something only Amber and I knew.”

“So," He stretches the word, "if only Amber and you knew it? How come she knows of it too?” He questions slowly. That’s what I like about him; he never has to know every detail to help me with my dilemma.

“That’s what I’m kind of disturbed about.” I rub my nape uncomfortably.

“Wait a sec!” He grimaced and continued, “Did she tell you that she talked to-“

“I know I shouldn’t believe it of her!”

“You don’t have to yell. I’m just saying that if she really does know about Amber and your secret, there’s a possibility that she might’ve met her before Amber-“
