Chapter 6

"Y/N.. wake up."

It was hard opening her eyes, but when she did she saw someone she never thought she'd see again.

"M-mom..?" Her voice cracked from the sudden arrival of her mother. Had she come back from the dead? Or has she just been severely injured, and was just motionless from the pain?

"Y-you're still alive? Oh my god, I missed you.." Y/N croaked, putting a hand over her mouth, choking back a sob. Hot tears began dripping and falling down her face.

Her mother smiled sadly, "Unfortunately, I'm not Y/N.. But you have to promise me something. Can you do It? Are you up for the challenge?"

That hurt you in the heart harshly, but you formed up the confidence to answer her. "Y-yes? What's it you want me to do?"

"You have to survive. Until you grow old of age. Never let yourself be eaten alive or killed, I know you're hurting.. but do it. For me. For Derail, and Aki.."

Y/N stared up at her mother, paralyzed for a few seconds, before raising up her hands when M/N put hers on Y/Ns cheeks. "I-... I'll do it.. I promise mother.. For you. Derail, and Aki.." Her mother smiled sadly, once again, and Y/N wanted to smile back, but only to see her mother fading away slowly, whispering a slow 'thank you' before disappearing.

It happened so fast you couldn't react, "Mother? Mother! Don't leave me hear! P-please.." Y/N clenched her hand slowly, "..I'm scared.."

"Y/N!"

You wake up, startled and frantically looking around. Yuki was shaking you, looking worried. "Yuki.."

You threw her arms around her, sobbing. "Please don't leave me too.. I don't want any one else gone from my life.." Yuki hugged back chuckling softly.

"I won't leave you until you become of the right age sweet heart... don't worry."

Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and Inosuke left the next day, waving bye. Well, mostly Zenitsu, Tanjiro and Inosuke were yelling back and forth at each other.

"I-Inosuke! Don't eat it too soon! It's for the long trip to our next mission!" Tanjiro argued, trying to pull the box of Onigiri, Sushi, and other goods.

"Yah!~ Don't tell me what to do Gonpachiro!" Boar head pulled back, gripping harshly on the box.

"It's Tanjiro!"

"That's some good relationship they have with each other." Yuki said, staring at them. You look at her and smile.

"Yeah. Wish I could have friends like that."

Drawing with a brush on a peice of paper, you stroked random lines, sketching whatever you were sketching.

"You have to survive."

But how? How could you survive in this misshappened world, where creatures called demons lived? And fed on humans for a living?

You closed your eyes, imagining your mom's smile. It was indeed very beautiful, and it made your heart warm just remembering it.

You envied your mother, with her healthy and beautiful appearances, attracting all genders to look her way. She had a very fragile, benevolent heart. You questioned whether or not she really was your mother or not, but you had similarities with her which made you think you were related to her, but being too insecure about yourself, you still don't think you're related to her in any way.

Opening your eyes you were shocked to see what you doodled. It looked, strangely, like the sword the three were handling, except the design that looked different.

"That looks strangely familiar.."
