Someone took you in after running to the town, exhausted and tired. They gave you new clothes to wear while they repaired the damaged, F/C kimono you always worn.

They came back with a tray with a warm cup of tea and a plate of rice and other mouth watery food. The woman set down the tray in front of you and kneeled down too, smiling welcomingly.

"My names Yuki, you can just call me Yu."

After taking a sip of the tea, you answered, "M-my name's L/N Y/N.."

"May I ask what you were doing in the forest?" She asked, folding her arms onto her lap.

"I-.. My family and I lived in the forest, since we always loved the outdoors. But then a demon came out of nowhere.. and-" You choked slightly, as a lump started to form in your throat.

"No need to continue." Yu smiled again, although it looked sad.

You sipped at the tea again, setting it down before slowly placing a small chunk of rice in your mouth. You didn't know how hungry you were until now, and finished the meal in almost an instant. "T-thank you for the food." You thank her and bow slightly with you head before drinking the tea again.

After a bit, Yu laid out a sleeping mat for you to sleep on. "If you want, you can sleep in one of the guest rooms."

"No thanks, I'm fine sleeping here." You respond, smiling at her, which she nodded and walked away.

Blowing out the lights, you climb into the mat and shut your eyes, sleepiness dominating the fear that cowered in you after the incident.

Third Person P.O.V.

It's been about two weeks now. And she's gotten quite used to the old grandmother scent and comfortable furniture. Y/N sat on the chair in her room, sketching the scenery of greens outside. She heard the door slide open, and Yuki stepped in.

"Here, drink this. " Yuki handed Y/N a cup full of some warm liquid. "Oh? What's this for?" Y/N asked as she took the warm cup.

"It's a herbal tea. Said to help you ignore the pain and slowly but effectively heal it, it seems to me that your wounds are healing quite well." She said, letting Y/N take the cup from her wrinkled hand.

Sipping the tea, she looked up at the old woman. The H/C haired girl now realized she didn't know much about her, and curiosity was getting the better of the female. "Do you mind telling me why you live in this big house, all alone?"

She was silent for a while, before answering to her question. "Not at all." She sat down beside her. "You see, long ago I fell in love in love with a handsome fellow. He was tall and wellbuilt, quite an icon." What first started off as a smile slowly morphed into a frown, "A lot of females fell in love with him, even a few older woman. But he had eyes for me, and I liked that.

"We ended up getting married, and used to live in the house we are in today, but one night only I lived here."

"He went out to chop wood, and it was late at night so I offered to come just in case, for extra protection. He refused, of course, and I ended up staying back. But suddenly travelers found his torn up body in the snow, and from what they said, it was a horrible sight."

Yu didn't seem to be affected by the story much, just the same soft, blank yet welcoming face as usual, but in her pale gray eyes were the emotions pain and melancholy. It hurt even Y/N to look at such a joyful, caring woman like her to be in so much pain.

"Now, it's almost noon. Mind going out to get some ingredients? I plan on making some soup."

"No, I dont mind." Y/N quietly replied. Yu walked off, leaving Y/N in the room alone. She sat in silence for a while, before getting up and grabbing a basket.

-

"One onion please." She said, taking the vegetable and smiling at the lady, before paying with few coins. There were lights hung all around, most likely for the festival that's coming up (i just made this up for funzie sakes-).

All types of people will come. Even from the forest or other towns, it was one of the biggest festivals of the year. Of course, they were aware of the demons, so each person hung or planted wisteria around and/or in their houses, for protection.

"Here's a kimono I sewed, for you." Yuki said, handing a beautifully sewn kimono with F/C and white flowery designs at the bottom of the sleeves and main part of the kimono.

"It's beautiful.. thank you!" She exclaimed, hugging it. "I love flowers.."

"I knew you would love it." Yu chuckled silently. "It's for the festival coming up. You'll look beautiful in it."

Y/N smiled at her words. She was so kind, hopefully she could be able to repay her some day.

She returned just in time before it got too dark, and for Ms. Yu to get worried. "Yu, I'm home!" Y/N called, informing her she was back in one peice.

Yu came back with two bowls, one in each hand. Placing the bowls on the table, she took the bag, "Oh how convenient, the water was done boiling too. Sit down and wait for a minute, dinner will be ready in a few." She said, smiling softly and thanking her before heading into the kitchen.

Y/N kneeled on the pillow, looking around and admiring the small decorations Yu put up. It was such a childish name, in Y/N's opinion. Although, it slightly matched the woman's benevolent, gentle personality.

While Y/N was admiring the paintings, flowers, lanterns, and other decorations, Yu came back, quickly indeed, with the pot of Miso soup in her hands. "Careful, it's hot." She chuckled as Y/N stared hungrily and scooped the liquid greedily into her own bowl.

After cooling down, she took a sip, enjoying the warmth it spread throughout her body. "Hah.." Y/N breathed out, after finishing her share. She then picked up the cup containing one of her favorite herbal teas, Black Tea, sipping the bland yet sweet drink.

Yu silently watched as the female enjoyed her meal, slowly eating herself. A small smile cracked onto her face, reminding her of a distant memory.

"Mommy? Who are those people?"

Y/N looked at the entrance to the house, standing up and jogging over. She peeked out, to see three boys watching in the streets not so distant from the house Yu and her were in.

One with a gray hog head, one with black to red hair...,

And another with yellow-orange hair.
