Chapter 25

You suddenly jolted awake, looking around. You looked to the side, "Hama...ko.."

You tried shaking her awake, but no luck, "Hamako.. wake up." You tried again, but looked down the hall. Only then did you notice that there was two people sitting in front of you guys.

There were two young looking.. humans. One was a male, one was a female. You noticed the rope on their wrists, one of them trailing to yours.

Somehow, the rope had broken between you and the male. Hamako hadn't had any luck waking up, and in worry, you gripped the shoulders of the person in front of you, shaking them violently.

"Hey! Hey!"

He woke up abruptly, looking scared at you with wild eyes, "Y-you.. I'm- I'm sorry.." He seemed totally lost at words, before forcing you off him and running away. You watched him, hesitating to go after him. He might lead you to the person in charge of this train, but what happens if there was a demon nearby? Wouldn't it just tackle you out of nowhere?

Suddenly you saw Rengoku stand up, holding a girl by the neck. "R-rengoku-sama?!" You stood up, holding onto his arm and trying to pry him off the girl, "W-wait! Don't kill her! Rengoku-sama!"

You tried harder, but then you realized he was asleep. You let go, "...How can he still strangle someone with such strength when he's unconscious..?"

You didn't know what to do, you felt helpless. You decided to go to Hamako, to try and wake her up, but you didn't know what to do. You tried shaking her, pinching her, hesitantly slapping her, but nothing worked.

You were about to give up when suddenly you heard a small rumbling. Something pulled the end of your haori, and when you turned around you saw Nezuko. "N-nezuko!?"

You crouched down and pet her head, smiling, I totally forgot about her.. I wonder.., "Hey.. Nezuko. Can you try and wake up Tanjiro? Zenitsu? Any one of them?"

Nezuko was happy with the pets, and then nodded, going over to Tanjiro. He suddenly burst into flames.

You almost was about to scream before you realized it was Nezukos doing, "Wow~ so cool!" You looked at her Blood Demon Art, "Good job Nezuko." You smiled and pet her, she hummed.

You stood up and decided to go over to Hamako again, you didn't want her to burn in Nezukos fire, and so you say next to her and let her head rest on your shoulder. You looked concerningly and sadly at her, praying to God that all of this wasn't some doing to have her die.

The girl sitting in front of her had the same time tied to her arm, and was also sleeping. You didn't know what she was doing, what the other boy was doing, but to figure it out you somehow had to wake at least someone up.

Out of nowhere, Tanjiro yelled, causing Nezuko to hide behind your chair and you to also be supris ed and frightened. He seemed to look around almost confusedly, before looking back at you guys. "N-..Nezuko.. Y/N.."

"N-nezuko! Please, burn the rope!" He said, causing Nezuko to imply with his asking.

You watched, as she burnt Inosuke's, Zenitsu's, Rengoku's and Hamako's ropes. You desperately shook Hamako awake, "H-hamako!" From reflexes alone you stood to the side before almost getting impaled by a screwdriver looking weapon, "S-stay back! Don't mess with our work.. we have to get this done..!"

Tanjiro was also dealing with troubles, but quickly he knocked out all four of them. You stared admiringly at him. He noticed your gaze and smiled with a slight fluster in his cheeks.

There was still one of them standing, staring almost gratefully at Tanjiro. Tanjiro seemed to be worried, "Are you okay?"

"..Thank you. Please be careful..."

Tanjiro gleefully had more posture, "I-I will!" He looked at you, "Hey, Y/N! Try and wake up all the passengers in the back!"

You nodded and first went to Hamako, shaking her. This time, she finally woke up, coughing. She looked at you before embracing you, "..Y/N-san..!"

You hugged her back with the same love, "I'm glad you're safe Hamako.. We need to wake everyone up and evacuate those who aren't demon slayers.. We don't know how dangerous this mission might get."

Hamako nodded and stood up, "I'll go get a head start and try to wake up the people in the back, you go for Boar-head and Zenitsu-kun."

You and Hamako parted ways. You shook both of them awake, "Wake, UP!"

That managed to get Inosuke awake, "I-inosuke!"

"Who called for your leader?" He said, standing proudly, "Where's Monjirou?"

"..I think he needs help on the train, there's a demon here Inosuke. Please help him..!"

He stared at you, before huffing, "Because my underling asked me to, I will do that!" He ran away, you chuckled before looking at Zenitsu.

..No hope.. Maybe I should go wake up the others and help Hamako.., You stared doubtingly at Zenitsu and ran to the back.
