"He-hey! Ow- ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow- Okay I'll get up! I'll get up.." The black raven let go of a strand of your hair, spinning in circles up in the air.

"Head to Natagumo Mountain! There have been people missing or getting killed! Head to Natagumo Mountain!"

You blocked the ravens voice out, scratching the back of your head which was one of your habits. We're doing missions now?

-

As you head out, nervously, you shiver. People gone missing, or possibly killed, huh?

What was even worse was that you were alone. A higher risk of dying there.

You really had no hopes of you surviving but, at the moment, there was no time to be pessimistic.

As you trailed up the pathway through the forest at morning, you glanced into a bush, jumping when there was a sudden rustle. Curiosity led you to try and find out what it is that was behind those bushes.

A girl popped out, seeming to be the same age as you, and was horribly injured. "Oh my god.. are you-"

"Ahh- a person!" She hopped onto her feet and, weakly, ran at you, jumping into your arms. "Please help me. I'm desperate to get help! Please!"

You look around to find nobody around anxiously, and look down at the girl again, noticing the same uniform she was wearing. "..so you're a demon slayer too?"

She looked up with teary eyes, "Yeah.. I got lost on my way to the.. Natagu..me? Natagumo? I don't know.. But I got lost either way. May you please help me..?"

You nodded, a little smile forming. This was your chance to finally makes friends, "What's your name?"

"Tsu-tsuguko Hamako.. " She said amidst sniffles, "I was following strange boys when I saw people hanging from.. string?.. I don't recall what I saw, but I was so shook I got lost. Gladly I ran into you though!"

You nodded, gently prying her arms off of yourself, "And I am Y/N L/N. You were sent here on a mission too right? We can go together! I'll try my best to protect you." You say, in the kindest and most comforting way you can manage.

She sniffles again, and nodded. "A-alright. Only if you don't leave me!" You giggled shyly.

"I will try not to. Just keep up." And you set off into the forest, you were a tad bit too fast for her, so you slowed your pace to hers. Once she caught you and her ran deeper into the forest.
A movement caught your eye, and you took out your sword and slashed it quickly when it lunged at you. It seemed to be a spider, except it looked wierd, and suspicious. Hamako sneaked from surprise behind you, "W-wow... that was so cool! Please teach me how to do that one day!"

You brightened up from her compliment, "Haha.. thanks.." You heard a noise, almost like a screech, from the distance and went over to check it out. She followed close behind, and you spotted a familiar yellow hair with orange tips.

You quickly backed behind a tree, pulling her with you. You watched as he cried, and cried, and cried. "Wow.. he's kind of loud.."

You snickered, "Yeah.."

When he stopped yelling, and he fell from the branch you almost snapped into action to try and save him, but when he landed on his feet, you stopped, to watch out of curiosity.

The spider with the head seemed to be in shock too, but a shriek led your attention away from the fight. "A-ahh.. Y/N... Please help it's prying into my skin.."

It was a thin, string, almost like a spider web. But the difficult part was that it was so rough that it didn't even seem like it was being cut by your blade. "What the.."

You continued on for a bit, slashing as hard as you can, but it ended up hurting Hamako even more, so you lightened the pressure, but it didn't phase the string at all. You heard a thump behind you, and noticed that Zenitsu was on the building now, motionless.

You started to panic, what if he was dead? He sure looked like it, he wasn't moving, and from the position you were in it didn't seem like he was breathing either. You didn't want to abandon her, so you kept on going. Someone will ought to come any minute now, come on.. just a little more.., You thought. When you realized that the blade itself wouldn't work, you decided to use a breath style.

"Brace yourself, Hamako-san.. this might hurt.." You raised it up, and said the words needed, and sliced down onto the web. It cut through, and let go of her ankle. But it seemed to cut a little but into her flesh, so she barely could walk on her left leg. You took a bit of your haori and wrapped it around her wound, to try and stop the bleeding.

"Okay, put your arm over me and lean on me for support. We will be going to find help, and if we run into demons along the way, I'll take care of them.. Got it?" She nodded in acknowledgment, and you two limped away. It hurt you mentally to leave Zenitsu, but your new friends life would've been at stake if you were to leave her, letting her bleed out.

You glanced back, to see Zenitsu still lying there. Tears stinged your eyes, but blinking them away, you continues onward, most you doing all the walking because of your friends injury.

Hopefully he makes it out. Alive.
