Chapter 24

I haven't stated this before, but this is the storyline of Kimetsu no Yaiba and the manga itself(except involving you and Hamako). It will continue to go until the most previous chapters I have read.

The app I had used had completely shut down, leaving me to no access to read manga besides buying the novels (but at times like this, money and rations are precious to our family).

I am doing this from memory, I am sorry if I don't remember it correctly (the script and storyline, at times I may add my own dialogue). I may skip a few events.

"R-rengoku-san?"

A bright yellow haired male, with red strips at the end, looked to the side at the group and smiled, "Ah, Kamado my boy."

He stood up and towered above you guys, considering all of your height difference. But it didn't feel quite intimidating, he seemed a lot like a dad.

"Who are these two unfamiliar girls?" He asked, staring with a wide smile at you and Hamako.

"Oh, they are Y/N and Hamako. They're trailing along with us."

Rengoku nodded acknowledgingly. "You look like you're not much experienced yet.. From this day on you'll be under my care."

Everyone seemed surprised before Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke started shouting admiring, respectful names to Rengoku. You and Hamako stood back watching them, laughing at their raw behavior.

Hamako then looked at the side, at you, "Do.. you think we will be able to see Kanao again..?"

You looked at her and smiled, "Of course, assuming we will get hurt on this mission." She laughed at your joke.

"Hmm.. hopefully not badly.."

We all sat around each other, but this time you sat next to Hamako. The two of you whispered without any certain explanation, just feeling the quiet atmosphere had been enough to shut you two up.

"Excuse me, ladies."

You looked to the side and saw the driver of the train, holding out an empty hand as if wanting something, and holding a ticket puncher in the other hand.

You and Hamako both held a ticket up to him, and punching both of them at once, returned it. Soon you felt drowsy, but you didn't think much of it.

Until you passed out immediately.

You felt warm, like sun rays were shining down on you.

"Y/N-san."

Opening your eyes, you see Aki shaking your tummy looking at you impatiently.

You felt your heart drop, you were fairly certain she was dead. You saw it with your own two eyes. Body basically torn apart, her clothing drenched with blood, everything.

"..Aki..?"

"Yeah? What's wrong? Why do you look is wierd?"

You embraced her in a hug tightly. You, after a few moments, released her, "Are you okay..? Aki.." You were on the verge of tears, feeling them already sting your eyes, but you took a deep breathe.

"Where's... mom?" You felt excitement boiling in your blood, if they were still all alive you wanted to spend as much time with them. As much as possible.

"She's cooking food right now, we bought meat from town earlier!" She said happily, smiling while pointing at the house up the hill.

"Come on! Let's go!"

"Y/N.. everything has a trap in it. Bad or good, you can not let your guard down. Understand?"

"Even family? I can't trust mom..?"

He smiled sadly and rubbed your head with his hand, "Not everything is what it seems, Y/N. You have to believe that, alright..?"

You nodded, smiling as he stood up, "Goodbye, dad!"

He smiled while waving back and walking away.

"Y/N-san? Why'd you stop? Come on! The food's gonna cool down!"

You looked sympathetically at her, "Aki.. are you.. real..?"

She looked confused but then faced you, "What do you mean? Y/N-san..?"

Before you knew it, you were backing away from her, "I-i'm sorry, Aki.." It hurt you to go and leave them, to not stay and be with them. But they seemed different, and you witnessed their own death.

This isn't real. They're dead, aren't they?, You thought, running through the surrounding woods. I can't believe this..

You stopped, looking around. Your breathe of heavy, you couldn't control your shaking fingers. You were aware that something was wrong. You just couldn't jog your memory, what happened? Where were you before this?

"Was it... the train..?" You looked up at the sky, "It seems so far away that I entered that train. And.. I fell asleep.."

"How can I.. get back...?" You looked determinately in front of you. Your feet started running forward, picking up speed. If this were to be a dream, there would be an end.. right..?

You suddenly ran into a wall. A wall you've never seen before. Now I'm fairly certain that this is a dream.., You start banging on the wall, seeing if anything will happen. After a few moments, you firgured nothing would happen.

Looking left and right, there wasn't anything that could help you escape. Your hand trailed down to your nichirin blade, gripping it.

You took it out of its case, nervously holding the blade. Maybe..
