You and Hamako were finally discarded from the Butterfly Estate. Although, the three boys were still in the care of Shinobu and the rest of the butterfly girls. Because you and her were craving udon, Hamako and you decided to go out and get something to eat.

-

Before you were discarded..

You wandered around and found Zenitsu lounging around in the hallways. You ran up to him, "Zenitsu-kun!"

He seemed startled, and instantly became red in the face. He probably still had his small fever, you assumed. "I wanted to ask if you are okay, you seemed paralyzed.."

"Y-yes, I'm fine! There's nothing wrong we me, you don't have to worry." He quickly said, "i-.. I have to go. I can hear Tanjiro call me."

He sped off, you puffed out your cheeks and went off to find Hamako. It's gotten quite boring now that Zenitsu had ran away from you. Not to mention he was your first choice of entertainment.

-

Hamako and you stopped at a ramen cart. Waiting for the ordered two bowls of udon, Hamako decided to bring up a wierd, and extremely personal question, "So.. you don't like him?"

You were tempted to hit her with your blade. The case on, of course, you wouldn't have dared to hit your first true friend.

"Hamako. He's just a friend, how much times do I have to remind you?"

"He's just a friend, so what? You could still have feelings for him~"

You started to reconsider the idea of leaving the case if you did hit her. "...I won't reject my feelings.. but I'm just confused. We've only known each other for a few months Hamako. It's not natural for someone to fall for someone in under a year."

"At least that's what you think, Y/N-chan."

You rolled your eyes, and noted that the chef in the cart was nearly done with the udon. "I hate you. But also care for you. You're annoying."

Hamako giggled and hugged you with her arm, "Don't worry, you're gonna have to deal with me for the rest of your lives."

The man handed you guys the two, steaming bowls. It was topped with greens, fresh mushrooms, and other mouth watering items added. Of course the soup and noodles were the main part. And they added onto the yummy factor.

As you and Hamako slurped down the noodles, your mind started to wander to if you would need to do more missions since you were released a lot sooner than the other three boys. Of course, your ravens didn't come yet, but you were afraid they'd come pretty soon. You wanted to spend more time with Hamako as if you and her weren't in the Demon Slayer Corps.

Once you two finished your udon, you and her walked down the main, dirt road stopping at random spots to get some rest or drink water. You didn't know where you were heading, but you were going somewhere.

Instinctively, you recognized all the roads and directions. An idea popped in your mind. "Lets head over to my guardians place. The roads are very familiar."

"Ah-? Are you sure we won't bother her?.. Or him?"

"Its a female, and of course not! It's been a few months since I've last seen her. She'd be glad to see me, and meet you." You lead the way of course. Hamako was new to the pathways, as she had explained, she never really explored much away from her house. 4 miles at the max.

As you approached the village, the same smell of fresh baked breads, and other delicious smells filled your noses. "It smells so... lively. You're lucky to be living in a village like this, Y/N-chan." Hamako stopped walking, "...shouldn't we hide out blades? Will the villagers not be afraid of us carrying around swords?"

"Oh, good idea Hamako." You grinned and punched her lightly in the shoulder acknowledgingly. You two proceeded to hide the blades on your backs before walking into the village.

You giggled and joyfully walked down the middle road of the town with Hamako following behind, wisteria trees glowed faintly as the sunset slowly setted. Luckily you two made it in time before demons started to lurk.

Nobody was afraid of staying out for too long. Besides, the town was built where wisteria trees loved to grow. The environment was perfect for them, the temperature, soil type. The residents made sure not to ruin the environment, for the plants and their own safety.

Some of the townspeople waved at you, remembering your kind face. Some gave you free snacks from the past offers and help you gave them.

Hamako stared wonderously at a treat you were given, and was carrying. You got her message, "You want it? I've gotten quite tired of its taste." She nodded hungrily and took it from you.

"Thanks." She bit into the Imagawayaki, smiling slightly from your generosity.

After swallowing her bite, she said, "I wonder how you're so nice and calm all the time. It's really amazing how you can be so composed."

You smiled softly and tucked the snacks in your hands away, "Well.. I get it from my father.. he used to be the kindest man in the world. At least the kindest man I had ever met." You paused, "It's.. been a while ever since I've prayed to keep my family and I safe.. but.."

You shook your head violently, getting the negative thoughts and feelings out of your head, "Let's go, we're almost there."

She gave you a half-pity-half-curious look, but nodded and followed along.

-

"Yuki!"

She came instantly and embraced you, "Ahh- Y/N I've missed you so dearly. Are you okay? And who's this?"

Hamako waved at her, "I'm Hamako, Hamako Tsuguko."

"..Have anything happened to Y/N while I wasn't around? With someone in particular?"

Hamako's eyes lit up, "I like this woman." Then she giggled, "Yes, things have happened. A lot of things."

You rolled your eyes and covered your face with your hands in embarrassment from both Yuki and Hamako. "You two are gonna end my life some day.."
