Chapter 14

Hamako giggled playfully, "Come on! Don't be so shy!" You were hiding behind a curtain, only because Hamako (being very sneaky) stole some convienent make up and forced it on you.

"H-hamako... I don't want people seeing me like this! I look horrifying!"

In reality, you were a beauty. Hamako seemed to be a professional at make up art, the color eye shadow she used made your eyes pop. The light lip tint made your lips look more plump, and everything else piled up on top of it (in a good way).

Hamako rolled her eyes before pulling your arm gently, trying to drive you out of cowardice. "Y/N-chan~ You look amazing!! Don't say that about yourself."

You, after several compliments from the other, agreed to come out if she could repay you after getting out of the Butterfly Estate. Unknown to where other people were, you and her traveled down the hallway and into a bathroom to wash your face. It was surprising how Hamako quickly adapted to this new place, and immediately knew where the washroom was.

She took a nearby towel, soaked it, and started gently patting off the makeup. "Uhm.. Hamako? If you don't mind.. may I ask you how your life was before you entered the Demon Slayer Corps..?"

Her whole body hesitated, and she even stopped wiping your face. Luckily, she trusted you enough to tell you. "My mother died of sickness right after I was born, so I never got to see her face. We were quite a wealthy family, but only from constant selling of precious metals we found near where we lived. My father is still alive, but he hasn't gotten over the fact that my mother died, so my older brother has-" She paused, "had to fill in the role for him. After one of his ventures, he went missing. It's been two years now since he's been gone."

You listened intently, smiling pitifully when she stopped. You knew she wasn't finished, but it was clear she couldn't go any longer. "You don't have to continue, I've heard enough."

"Y/N-chan.. can I call you Nee-san from now on?"

That question suprised you, but you quickly smiled and stood up, "Of course, I'll be your sister from now on. Just like long lost sisters!" Your smile brightly at her, which made her smile too.

And then you guys walked off and talked about nonsense.

Wish I could do better, but I'm currently on my last day of school before spring break :D

So I'll continue writing this later on in the days, thanks for reading. And, oh yeah, the juicy parts are coming later.
