happiness? whats that?

....my happiness is gone Brandon.
They got home that night the house was quiet everyone was waiting for them to get the news. They walked through the door everyone was sitting on the sofa saying nothing till Dianne and Joe stood in front of them hugging each other until she finally broke the silence. She was crying a-lot and he just stood there next to her with no expression on his face.
Dianne: It's back
Everyone had tears in their eyes, especially Dianne but joe had none he stood there staring at a wall while holding on to Dianne.
Rina: i'm so sorry joe.
he didn't answer her, he didn't answer anyone he just stared at the same spot for hours.
Andrew: so what now?
Dianne: they said we could do his treatment here, it starts a week today.
Annabelle: is there anything we can do?
Dianne: no I'm afraid not, thx tho Anna.

They sat down on the sofa with the rest of the family, still no word coming out of joe's mouth. They watched Ariel, and many more movies; the most funny bits didn't even make him laugh, he just stared and stared and stared. But eventually he broke his silent.

Joe: my vlog, i need to edit it, omg I'm so late.
He jumped off the couch and began to go get his laptop.
Dianne: sit down joseph you don't have to, you're fans will understand.
Joe: yea dianne i have to, it's my job; you wouldn't understand.

Joe left the room and didn't come back he just edited his video in silent in his bedroom. As he left Dianne again started to cry, but her family was there to comfort her. Brandon even went to sit next to her and hug her.

Brandon: don't take it personal dot, he's just recirculated bad news.
Dianne: i know, it's just, it's just I'm worried about him, he's taking it worse this time than last time. I wish it was me you know.
Rina: don't say that dot, you knows he wouldn't want that. now what I would do if I was you is let him do his thing for now.

Dianne listened to her mother's advice and carried on watching some movies but in the meantime Joe was in their room, everyone thought he was editing but he wasn't he was crying. But suddenly Mia comes around the corner of the door after hearing him. She knocks before walking in. Joe sees her and wipes his eyes before starting to talk to her.

Mia: are you ok Joe
Joe: yeah I'm fine
Mia: if you're fine then why are you crying.
Joe: I just received bad news from the doctor again.
Mia: are you sick again like you were before when aunty dot face timed us saying that you were gonna die and she was gonna go with you and wanted to say good bye to us for the last time?
Joe: yeah like that time.

Joe was so confused, his conformation with the six year old really made him worry about Dianne. He told Mia to go back to play before he got up to apologise to Dianne. He stood in the door of the living room she didn't realise he was there before he began to speak.

Joe: Dot, I'm sorry
Dianne: Awww Joseph come here

Joe went up to Dianne and sat next to her as close as positive, rubbing her bump with one hand and holding her face with the other. He didn't want to bring up the subject he and Mia was talking about in case she got upset, well more upset than she already was.

Joe: i was a dick to you earlier in front of your whole family, you're father and brothers must want to kill me.
Dianne: they and I understand, joe you just got told that you have cancer again, you're going to go through that whole experience again, you were in shock.
Joe: in shock or not it wasn't expectable for me to talk to you that way, I promise i will never react like that again.
Dianne: i love you joseph.
Joe: I love you Dot.
Dianne: remember joe were gonna get through this together. Like we always did and always will.
Joe: it's gonna be a-lot of work with the twins on their way and me treatment being 3 times a week, omg what if im I'll when you go into labour! I can't miss it dot i need to be there for you.
Dianne: don't cry joseph, if we stick to the treatment you have to do at home we'll have a better chance as keeping you as healthy as possible, and if i stick to my health requirements we should be giving birth on the due date, we'll work together and plan things out together.
Joe: forever dot. I love you
Dianne: I love you joseph

They went to bed that night obviously still very sad but joe was in good hands, he had all of dianne's family to support him especially Dianne herself, she was there for him and he was there for her. But as they went to sleep what they didn't know was that death was coming their way the following day...
