the other half is feeling down

A phew months had been, Joe was walking again but he was still backwards and forwards into hospital. Christmas had been, they ended up going to Wiltshire to spend it with Joe's family. This week Joe had been feeling so good, he decided that tonight he was gonna go out for the first time in a very long time, he was so excited! He hadn't felt sick in about a week so he had a good feeling that tonight was gonna be a good night. Dianne was also going out tonight as all of the buttercream members and their girlfriends were meeting up at a restaurant then hitting this big festival which was very similar to winter wonderland but yet so different.

Joe: Dianne you ready?
Dianne: yeah coming down now

As Dianne walked down the stairs joe felt like he was in a movie and she was walking down the stairs in slow motion wearing this beautiful black jumpsuit and her hair all done, he was stunned at how beautiful she looked.

Joe: wow!
Dianne: (giggling) what?
Joe: you, you look....
Dianne: I look what joseph?
Joe: beautiful

Dianne walked closer towards joe and wrapped her hands around his waist be for kissing him for a very long time before they heard the bell go. It was Caspar, Ambar Caspar's girlfriend, Josh, and Ellie josh's girlfriend. They were coming to joe's for wine before they headed out to meet the others.

Joe: ello, ello my friends
Caspar: hey buddy
Josh: (nodding his head) joe!
Joe: hello ladies, dianne's in the kitchen making some drinks.
Ambar: thx joe

All the girls made their way to the kitchen while the boys went into joe's office as he had something he wanted to talk to them about.

Joe: so over the last couple months I've had a-lot of time on my hands to think about stuff, if you know what i mean?
Josh: yeah?
Joe: And i feel like I'm beating the cancer, I won't know for sure till about 3weeks! But i feel like my treatment is going well...
Caspar: I'm glad you feel like this joe, but, we're you going with this.
Joe: I want to ask Dianne to marry me....
Josh: Joe do you understand how huge this is?
Joe: these last couple months have made me realise how short life could be, and that i have no time to waste! I know i wanna be with her forever so what's the point in waiting. I mean we don't have to get married straight away but the proposal will be like a sign that I'm in this for the long run.
Caspar: Joe I'm so excited for you, let's just hope this fu*king cancer goes away so you guys could live a happy and healthy life together.
Joe: yeah that, and hope that she'll say yes of course.
Josh: she will! she loves you! The way you guys look at each other they way you guys get a long is so sweet! I think that she'll be the luckiest girl in the world to have you as a husband.
Joe: there you're wrong jp, I will be the luckiest man in the universe to have her as my wife.
Caspar: when are you gonna do it?
Joe: a week today, I'm planning us the most romantic date ever, then I'm gonna take her on the London eye and when we're at the very top I'm gonna do it. But first i need to call mark with out her knowing to ask for his blessings of course. I need you guys to come with me to buy a ring though.
Caspar: will do, will do.

The boys went to join the girls were they all sat down drinking their wines before heading on into an uber to meet the boys by 7. They got on to the uber and chatter all the way about all kinds of stuff before arriving the restaurant.

In the restaurant every one had arrived, mikey and jack alone, and oli with evie and byron with Emily

Oli: yo
Caspar: hey
Josh: (nodding his head) oli, jack, mikey, byron

Basically everyone said hi to each other except dianne, she was feeling quite conscious about the way she looked as all the other girls looked so good! She was also feeling a bit left out as she hadn't hung out with this crew all together before. Everyone sat down around this big circular table in the middle of the room, they ordered some drinks (alcoholic of course) and then orders their food.

Joe: I'm going to the toilet.
Dianne: are you ok?
Joe: babe i know I'm sick and stuff but I still need to pee like normal people, when i go to the toilet doesn't mean somethings wrong.
Dianne: i know but its worth checking sometimes.
Joe: thankyou.

Joe grabbed her head and gave a kiss on ger tiny tiny forehead.

Ellie: you're really worried about joe aren't you di.
Dianne: yeah, everyone would be worried if they were in my position. I see him on his worst days and it's so hard.
Ambar: You can only hope that he gets the all clear in two weeks time.
Dianne: agreed.

This was the first time she had talked since arriving the restaurant. She was so shocked at how amazing they all looked, evie in a super tight body suite she had nothing on her no fat or anything and dianne was so jealous as she had recently put some weight on. Ambar was wearing a tight mini dress she also was looking so skinny in it. Emily was wearing some leather trousers with a crop top and looked amazing as usual. And Ellie was wearing a mini skirt. Dianne felt bad for joe that he was with the ugliest and fattest girl there.

By the time joe was back the drinks had arrive, both joe and dianne went for a gin dianne had a parma violet one and joe had a ginger one. While all the others were drinking bears Dianne felt old! I mean she was 30, the others weren't 35 yet and this really didn't help with her confidence. Since Dianne was very young she hadn't been very good at socialising with new people, she had met all of them individually but all together made her feel like they were talking about how she looked and stuff like that, but she hadn't talked about this before. When the food finally arrived they were all amazed, it looked so good!

Caspar: is it just me or doesn't this look bloody amazing?
Joe: agreed.

They all ate their food except dianne who was worried they would judge her for eating. When Joe realised she wasn't eating he got worried as he knew she had problems with eating in the past back when she was eating in Australia. He decided to whisper in her ear to ask her because he didn't want anyone hearing him in case she wasn't comfortable with everyone hearing.

Joe: You ok dotty?
Dianne: yeah fine why?
Joe: you're not eating your food.
Dianne: yeah i am
Joe: no you're not, why
Dianne: I don't want them judging me
Joe: judging you?
Dianne: yeah for eating
Joe: why would they do that? Their eating two?
Dianne: their not fat!
Joe: come with me now

Joe them turned to the others and said,
Joe: i feel a little dizzy because it's hot in here so me and di are gonna step outside for a second.
Caspar: you ok buddy?
Joe: yeah, yeah I'll be fine.

Joe took Dianne's hand and leaded the way outside.

Joe: Dot what's going on?
Dianne: they all look so good and skinny whilst I've put weight on and look like a rat.
Joe: Dianne Claire Buswell you're not fat, you may have put weight on but that's normal everyone does. Plus their nice girls if you talked to them i bet you'd become friends with them and realise that they don't judge people.
Dianne: really?
Joe: really, now come on back in and promise me you'll talk to them and eat your food.

Dianne promised joe she'd do what he wanted her to do then they went back in and she kept her promise. But, was the rest of the night gonna go so smoothly?
