Jungkook's eyes fluttered open to the sunlight seeping through his window, his brows furrowed. He groaned, due the pounding headache that was starting to surface. His body shivered at the cold against his bare chest, pulling up the blanket to protect him, that's when he saw the bandages around his arm and memories from last night started to clog up his mind.
His cheeks flushed a bright pink from the embarrassment, did he really just confess his feeling to the lord?
"No no no no no." Jungkook repeated in a panicked state, burying his face in his hands out of shame.
He was supposed to be angry at him, furious because Jimin treated him like absolute crap. And him saying that he liked him and cuddling up to him all night didn't help that image.
"We cuddled..", Jungkook's tummy fluttered, he couldn't help it. His feeling were too intense to control the butterflies. He could still feel the warmth of Jimin's chest on his cheek, still hear his heart beat calmly against his ear.
But he had to clear everything up, he needed to apologize for his weird behavior because he knew how awkward it must've been for the lord to stay here all night with a topless man snuggled up to him after telling him he liked him.
"Oh god." Jungkook sighed, mind pondering over how the fuck he was supposed to face him after all this.
None the less, he quickly got up and put his clothes on, studying his appearance in the mirror after, he was startled by the reflection looking back at him. His eyes were red and puffy, slight dark circles underneath and lips looking like the Sahara desert.
"I can't let him see me like this." Jungkook moaned, before paging a guard. "Tell the physician to prepare something for my headache. I'll come and get it my self."
"Yes your majesty." The man bowed before scurrying out of the room.
Jungkook poured himself some water and drank it to get rid of the dryness, biting his lips a few times to make them look pink and slightly plumped. Then used the remaining water to wash his face.
Finally, he was out of the room. Staring at Jimin's door in front of him, he decided to talk to him after he went to get his medicine. So he hurried out of the wing and speed walked to his destination.
"Here you are, drink it all." The doctor told him and watched Jungkooks face turn contorted right after he did. "Tastes awful."
"Have you got anything else bringing you pain? Your arm perhaps?"
"No my arm is fine but the bandage needs to be changed."
The physician didn't waste time and quickly changed Jungkooks bandage, aiding the cut of course before doing so.
"You're good to go sire."
Jungkooks heart pounded faster and faster with each step he took closer to Jimin's room, he was terrified. He had no idea what Jimin's reaction will be like.
He soon reached the wing that incorporates Jimin's room and his own, with a little bathroom at the end of it, he felt the weight on his chest increase.
"You can do this Jungkook." He spoke to himself, a little loud since he was the only one there. "Just get it over with."
Just as he was about to turn the handles of the large double door, a body was thrown at his back. "There you are!!"
Jungkook pushes the person off of him on instinct, turning around to see that it was May.
"Oh shit sorry.""It's alright." She dusted off her dress, "i am to blame for startling you like that."
Jungkook eyes drifted to his bedroom door that was open, assuming that's where she was. "What were you doing in my chambers?"
"I came looking for you!" She cheered, linking her arm with Jungkook's. "I asked the king if he could dismiss your duties so you could spend the day with me." She fluttered her lashes.
"Oh, um.." Jungkook glanced at Jimin's door and back at the maiden attached to him. "I just need to speak to Jimin first."
"You can talk to him another day, come on!" She pulled at his arm, insisting on not wasting anymore time. But Jungkook didn't want to postpone it any more.
He was about to argue back but his father's footsteps approaching the two stopped him.
"I told you he'd come back if you waited in his room." The king smiled at the lady, Jungkook was shocked at how genuine it looked."Go on you two, enjoy yourselves."
Jungkook knew what his father was doing, and he didn't like it one bit. It was true that the young woman was very beautiful and charming but she was nothing but a distraction to him, only a one night stand. Nothing more, but of course, as always, the king had plans of his own.
Jungkook spent his day tolerating the princess, they went on a horse ride in the back gardens and she wouldn't stop talking about herself. Then she order the palace maids to bring out their lunch so they could have a picnic. Which was also boring since all she did was throw herself at him.
It was finally the end of the day and Jungkook couldn't wait to be done escorting her to her chambers so she could change into her evening wear for dinner in a few hours.
"I'll see you at dinner." She smirked, playing with his collar before kissing Jungkooks cheek.
All the prince did was smile, holding the door open for her so she could walk in, oh how he wanted to slam the door in her face right then and there.
When he shut the door, he let out a sigh of relief he had no idea he was holding.
His body felt sticky with sweat and lipstick all over his neck, he couldn't let Jimin see him like this. He quickly ran passed the lords room and rushed into his, wasting no time in changing into a fancier, more royal like outfit.
He decided to dress in an all white suit, making sure it fit him nicely. He combed his brown hair back so it was entirely off his forehead, styling it in a way that would make the ladies melt. But it wasn't them he wanted to impress.
He yanked his door open and stomped to Jimin's doors, annoyed that something so simple took an entire day to do. He was about to knock on the door before an angelic voice interrupted him.
"Your highness." Jimin stopped in his tracks, it sounded more like a question.
"J-Jimin." Jungkook flinched his hand away from the hard wood, not expecting the lord to pop out of no where.
