Chapter 46

Chapter 46: "Every cell in my body is telling me that he's my happily-ever-after."

I plopped into the bed from exhaustion of walking and touring the city of Madrid the whole day. It was backbreaking but fulfilling at the same. Seeing those places that I only used to see on pictures and pages of the magazines, words weren't enough to express how I feel.

"Sands, come and see the view," tawag sa akin ni Jill. Siya ang kasa-kasama ko sa paglilibot, Unfortunately, Raigne couldn't join us.

Tumayo ako at pumunta sa veranda ng hotel na tinutuluyan namin. A smile appeared on my face as I saw the city lights, it was mesmerizing. Tumingala ako sa mga kalangitan at natanaw ko ang mga bituin sa langit.

I closed my eyes as I felt the breeze touch my face. "Pangarap ko lang 'to dati, Jill." 

"Then let's celebrate this." Nagmulat ako at kinuha ang inaabot niyang goblet na may red wine. "Cheers to more dreams of yours being fulfilled." 

Napangiti ako ng may tunog. "Cheers to us. To our happiness."

The next day, we went out to see some popular spots. Ito na ang huling araw namin sa Spain. Sa Paris ang susunod na destinasyon namin. I couldn't wait to see the Eiffel Tower. That would our last destination before I go back to the Philippines.

"This is so delicious!" I muttered. We're in a restaurant having our late dinner and trying some of the traditional dishes in Madrid. "You should try th-"

"Oh my God!"

"Uy bakit?"

From her phone, she looked up to me with a shocked expression. "Sandy, you won't believe this!" My forehead creased. "Dylan is in Ibiza!"

'W-what?"

Lumapit siya sa akin at ipinakita ang phone niya. Vash uploaded a new photo just a few minutes ago, and he was with Dylan in Ibiza. Ilang sandal akong napatulala sa nakangiting mukha niya sa picture. 

"Your ex has got so much hotter and more gorgeous! Goodness!" Hindi ako nakaimik. "Sandy, ang lapit lang niya. Don't you think this is destiny?"

Pagak akong tumawa. "Destiny? Coincidence ang tawag dito, Jill," I said, trying to sound nonchalant but I knew better than that.

"Isn't too much of a coincidence? You're both in Spain at the same time!" Hindi ako kumibo. "Or could it be God's way of telling you that it's high time you two see each other again and talk?"

Hanggang makabalik kami sa hotel ay hindi niya ako tinigilan ng tungkol kay Dylan. Hindi tuloy ako makatulog sa kakaisip kaya naisipan kong bumaba at pumunta sa isang coffee shop. While I was waiting for my hot chocolate, an american couple went inside. 

They got my attention because they were brimming with happiness. I figured out the reason as soon as they took the table next to mine. The couple were newly engaged! A smile appeared on my face as I looked at them. Napatingin sila sa akin at ngumiti.

"Congratulations." 

"Thank you! It's a simple ring but for me, it is the loveliest thing," the woman said, looking nothing but happy as she showed me her ring.

"It actually looks so beautiful," I said.

"Oh. Thank you."

Dumating na ang order ko kaya tumayo na ako. "Congratulations again."

While I was walking back to our hotel, there were a thousand of things running into my head. I just found myself waking Jill up.

"Let's go to Ibiza please!"
