AFTER ARRIVING IN SPOKANE, Washington, Leo believes that this will be an excellent home for his family. But when an all new extreme threat emerges, Leo and his family must fight once again to claim their freedom. The past few months which felt like a dozen years were very harsh on us. Surviving the winter had to be the hardest for all of us because we lost people. Below-freezing temperatures really hit us. It was really hard to see kids dying and starving to death because we couldn't find food and time for them.

Leonardo took it very hard because he felt responsible as the leader. And he promised that everybody was going to have a great life when we made it to Washington State. Today, he feels like he should carry the guilt but we as his family tried our best to have him let it go. It wasn't his fault. It is not our fault that this world turned on us and now food is completely scarce.
