Standing at the top of the hill just outside the city, overlooking the buildings almost completely buried in the thick snowfall, is the alpha female of many. Some of her folks are suffering because of how hard this winter has been. While some of her mutants are coping with the natural calamities quite well, others are barely making ends meet. When it comes to the opinions of other people, there are two distinct versions of her.

In the first version, she is seen as a remarkable someone who is capable of providing a group with vast resources while also leading them in a direct and brutal manner. This makes her a highly resourceful and trustworthy person to those who are brainwashed. This woman's second incarnation is just as straightforward—she's wicked.

"Our people are down there, Alpha." One of her people says to her, standing on her left. "What do we do? It's been so long."

The woman looks at her friend, her yellow-golden eyes staring into her friend's soul. "You know the rule. Once you're caught, you're not part of us." She hissed lightly, her appearance intimidating her group members.

The second woman who accompanied the alpha nods once, understanding that these rules must always follow through.

Alpha is an extremely strong person; in fact, she is so strong that most of the time, others might not be able to match her powers. It's hard to tell if there's someone in the world who is more advanced than her because she's mastered her skills so thoroughly.

She is full of confidence in her ability to carry out her intended objective. Long-term, this will work to her advantage since the more mutants she possesses, the more power she will have to govern the globe and allow humanity to decay in the most inhospitable locations. Her ultimate objective is to conquer and possess the world with the infected as her only enemy.

This city doesn't know that she has an army full of mutants behind her, fully supporting her in this plan of destruction and soon... a ton of loss. As she stands and glares at the beauty of Spokane, she turns to her companion, her friend, and says, "Begin phase one. We end this civilization of mutant-human bullsh*t now."

"Yes, Alpha."

The Pullman community and its leader, Barran, had just moved to a much closer campus in the city, despite the weather. Their new residence, Easter Washington University, in the hamlet of Cheney, southwest of Spokane, was supposed to offer superior housing. The region is larger, with many homes encircling the university and retail establishments nearby. An added plus was that it was close to several fields and farms, which meant good hunting. Cheney is the new name for the Pullman community.

For the first time in what feels like a very long time, Leo and his brothers are spending time together and bonding like they used to. They drove to Cheney together to help secure buildings from the infected that would wander the area and eventually come into the campus.

When Leo and his brothers came onto campus next to one of the bus stops in their vehicle, Barran was there to greet them with a wide smile. "Great to see you, guys!" She jogged up to them, shaking each of their hands. "Welcome to Cheney! Our new home."

From their position outside the closest buildings, Leo and his brothers quickly observed that the area was covered in many trees and had a tone of excellent structure. They could even see the tall round dorm just above the Pence Union Building roof, also known as the PUB. Seeing this campus in great condition and run by a great community of people gave Leo hope for his friends. "It's great, Barran. How's the security?"
