Mᴜᴛᴀɴᴛ Aᴘᴏᴄᴀʟʏᴘsᴇ 6: Tʜᴇ Vᴀʟʟᴇʏ

𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝗼𝐫'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

On the way home to Anzen, Shado drove the truck slowly with the trailer on the back end with seven horses. Mikey chilled in the back and Alex is following behind with Grace in his truck. That was a close call back there and it would have gone badly if they hadn't gotten out of there.

While they were going back home with a bucket of squash and zucchini with some brand new horses, they are approached by a young lady riding her own horse. The horse has a light coat with white hair-- a palomino. Shado instantly stopped the truck, causing it to jerk and stop roughly on the road. "Whoa, what's up?" Mikey knocked on the window.

"Mutant on a horse," Shado says, speaking out of her open window.

Michelangelo hopped out of the back of the truck, taking out his gun and gripping it tightly. "That's far enough!" He pointed it at the woman riding the palomino.

"Whoa, hey!" The female raised her hands up to show she wasn't going to harm anyone. "I'm a friend!"

"Who are you with?" Mikey didn't lower the gun.

This girl rolled her eyes. She has curly dark hair with some animal features that resemble a bear. "I'm with Woodward. I was doing my morning solo patrol."

Shado told Mikey to lower the gun, realizing that this mutant isn't a threat to them. "I'm Shado." She says. "This is my boyfriend, Michelangelo and my friends Grace and Alex are in the other truck behind us." She paused. "You got a name?"

The mutant bear-girl smiled with a nod, dismounting her palomino horse. "Honey is my name." She says proudly, putting her hands on her hips and walking her horse to the driver's side of the truck. Then, Honey noticed the horses inside the trailer. "Whoa, how did you guys get those other three horses?" She was eager to hear an answer.

Shado and Mikey wondered why Honey was so interested in the horses inside the trailer. Clearly, these horses were not new to Honey. "Uh, we came from a road called Saltese." Mikey answered Honey.

"Saltese?!" Honey exclaimed, amazed at the word. "Did you guys not see the sign before entering that area?"

"What sign?" Shado asked from inside the truck's driver's seat.

Honey began to explain. "There is a big sign next to the street name that says 'INFESTED WITH INFECTED. DO NOT ENTER'."

Mikey chuckled shaking his head. "No... we did not see a sign."

The friendly bear-girl itched the back of her neck and groaned out loud. "Dang it. The sign must have fallen down again..." She says. There's an awkward and short silence but Honey breaks it. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you all. I best be getting home and we'll see each other again soon." She walks to the side of her horse, placed her foot in the stirrup, and hoists herself up into the saddle.

"Pleasure meeting you, too." Mikey says to Honey. "We'll be seeing yah."

Leonardo, Donatello, Vincent, Duke, and Osa are in the library gathering around the front desk, planning out a little wedding. Duke and Vincent are to be married here in the school with proper music and family fun. They wanted this to be the most decent apocalyptic wedding ever. They spoke of these for about an hour until finally coming up with a plan.

"So..." Leo says, setting a pencil down next to a notebook on the desk. "We got everything planned out." He looked at the soon-to-be bride.

Vv nodded, agreeing to everything that had been written down on the paper with Bethany in her arms. "I like it." She smiled.

"Perfect." Osa gave a quick thumbs up. She leaves the library, passing one of her friends. "Hey, Clem." She greeted the mutant with Zayn walking beside her.

Clementine replied with a quick, "Hello." And approached Leo, Donnie, Vv, and Duke at the library's desk. "What's going on here?" She gestured to the notebook.

"Just finished planning Duke and Vv's wedding," Leonardo answered her. "What's up? Is everything okay? No infected near the walls?"

Clem assured Leo that there wasn't any infected. "No, there's nothing out there." She said. "Zayn and I were passing by and saw you all in here."

"Ah," Leo shut the notebook and looks at his brother Donnie. "Wanna fill 'em in?"

Donnie nodded and begins to explain the wedding itinerary to Zayn and Clementine. While he spoke of it, Clem began to wonder what it would be like for her and Zayn to have their own wedding. She loves that man with all of her heart and tying the knot would make their relationship much better. They'd be fighting through thick and thin during this whole lifestyle.

Clem wanted a wedding of her own, but she didn't know how to bring it up... Is she even supposed to bring it up? Zayn is supposed to pop the question and then a wedding can be brought up.

Later in the day, Osa and Donatello are sitting in their bedroom, getting ready to go to sleep for the night. Throughout the day, people were mostly organizing things around the school and other community members came to visit their new neighbors.

Tonight, the shapeshifter is writing in her journal with it laying on top of her lap with a pencil in hand while her husband lay beside her. "Today was interesting." She says, glancing to her right to see Donnie sinking his head into a pillow. He is exhausted and it appears he can't use another ounce of energy.

"You're telling me." He sighed, his eyes closed.

Osa wrote some more in the journal before finishing it up and shutting it to set it on the nightstand and blowing out the candle. Before she nuzzled up to Donnie, Osa removed her glasses and placed them on the nightstand, too. "I have a biological niece, Cormac is a father and... it's a lot."

Donnie brought his arm around his wife, resting his head on top of hers. "We learn every day, O." He says quietly. "We'll continue to learn until the day we stop breathing."

Every day they will learn. Whether that is about themselves, the people around them, the dangers, and anything else that comes with an apocalypse. Then, they will learn more about their marital relationship in a few short days.

In just four days, Vincent and Duke will be married, sharing a potential forever throughout this time, and be able to grow as a couple and parents. They'll be surrounded by their family, supported by them, and will protect them.

Being in a city like Spokane full of mutants and humans will provide Leo and his family, giving them all they need. Most importantly, they will receive structure and communication and without a doubt...
