Osa watched Vincent collapse on the floor, crying as she held the burn wound to soothe the pain. Only touching it made it worse. The shifter scoots up to Vv's side to comfort her. "Oh, Vv, I'm sorry." She said faintly. "Let me see it."
Vv shook her head violently as she pulled her arm back. "No, don't touch it," She said weakly.
"I'm not gonna touch it!" Osa snagged her friend's arm and got a gruesome view of it. "It needs to be treated... such dumbasses." She leaned against the wall, running her hands down her face, the chains rattling as she moved. Together, the two friends are trapped and unsure how to push through this kidnapping, this hostage get-up.
Vv continues to clutch the burn on her arm, breathing through the throbs and irritable stings. "Osa, we need to figure something out. Something that I can tell Alpha." She hissed through the agony. "Did Leo say anything about an attack, a strategy? Anything?"
Osa shook her head. "No, I was too busy leaving to find you..." She sighed, looking down at her lap and suddenly realizing... "Kharoma. I was with Kharoma before they brought me in here." She felt like there was hope after all. "When she gets to Anzen, she'll tell them!"
Vv's mood did not change, but she remained still and in disbelief. "I still need to tell Alpha something," She said, leaning her head on Osa for support, comforting one another. Vincent could feel tears coming out of her eyes, afraid for her daughter and husband. Most of all, her family.
Osa thought and thought. She whispered faintly to Vincent. "What about us moving supplies? We can say Leo is stumped on what to do with getting our family back."
The girl with a freshly branded burn on her arm nodded. "It's a start," she used her uninjured arm to wipe the tears coming from her eyes. "We'll just have to buy our time here. From what I've seen there's no chance we could escape."
"No escape?" Osa asked, ensuring Vv was certain there was no way out. "The windows?"
Vv shook her head. "No, it's a far drop."
Osa ran her fingers through her hair out of being stressed. "We need to find a way out."
"We can't." Vv answered. "And we're in no condition to fight our way out and outrun infected back to Anzen on foot," She gasped. "Leo's not going to let anyone stay here long. We have to trust that."
"Speaking of. Are you...?" Osa looked at her friend, her eyebrow raised.
Vv let out a slight sigh before nodding slightly. "Yeah."
"What the f*ck, Vincent!" Osa nudged her. "I mean, congrats! But... you went out there to scavenge without anyone knowing?"
The mother of soon-to-be two shrugged at her friend, her volume rising. "Duke is the only one who knows. We didn't want anyone to worry... this baby wasn't exactly planned considering Bethany is not even a year old yet."
"Oh..." Osa breathed out, looking down at her growing abdomen. She's very close to delivering. "My baby hasn't kicked me since I was brought in here." She said softly.
Vincent continued to cry softly. "It's probably the stress you're under. You can't worry about it otherwise it will just stress you out more."
"What do we do? She'll know we are working together" Osa asked Vv.
It was a tough decision to make, but Vincent had an idea. "We have to act like we've turned on one another. It's the only way to convince her..." Both hostage friends heard footsteps beginning to approach the door. Vv turned to Osa. "Attack me."
"What?!" Osa hissed sharply. "You're pregnant and so am I!" She felt like she was going to panic. "I can't... can't hit you..."
"Do it. Don't hold back. I can take it." She sounded desperate as the steps got closer. "Please, Osa!" Vincent urgently got up from the floor to make it appear she'd been standing over Osa for a while.
