Woodward

Behind the school, ways away from the building itself, there lies a cemetery. This cemetery is full of Bayard's people and it ranges from those who have died from natural causes, been shot, bitten... and other ways. At the moment, a doctor named Thomas Yorker is bringing an old friend of his flowers -- white and yellow. This friend of his passed away during the attack just a few weeks ago. Tom was devastated to hear about Conrad. Tom set the bouquet down on the damp dirt bed before taking a moment to embrace Conrad's death. It still doesn't feel real.

Once Tom finished visiting Conrad's grave, he returned to Woodward and brought himself into the kitchen to see if the timer he set for about twenty minutes is almost at zero. Thomas walks up to the oven and opens up the door to see the two dozen batches of chocolate chip cookies are just about finished.

He brought out the crispy treats from the heat and set them on the countertops for them to cool off. As soon as each cookie was cooled, Tom prepared the desserts on a plate with some plastic wrap and happily walked out of Woodward to request a vehicle and take a trip to Anzen alone.

The guards at the Anzen gates identified Tom and let him through to enter the community.  When he parked the car, Thomas breathed out to release his nerves so he could go inside the school and officially meet the leader of Anzen. Being a doctor at Woodward can be stressful and of course, it takes up a lot of Tom's personal time. So, finally, he is able to get out of his home and meet the new neighbors.

He found himself walking the school, watching brand new faces pass by him. Then, he found the mutant he was looking for -- not having to look very far. Leo is speaking with one of his brothers and just happens to be Donatello. As Tom approached with the cookies, he could hear that the two brothers were stressed about something that involves a few Flight shifters. "Excuse me," Tom said bluntly, getting Leo and Donnie's attention. "My name is Thomas Yorker." He paused, revealing his English accent. "I'm Woodward's doctor,"

"Thomas," Leo said. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He extends his bionic hand out for Tom to shake.

With no hesitation, Tom gripped the artificial user and smiled at his new ally. "Pleasure's all mine." He said, releasing Leo's bio-hand. "Here, I brought these for you and your people. I know it isn't enough, but it'll give 'em a tingle on their tongue..." He handed the plate of cookies to Leo.

"Thank you, Tom." Leo grinned. "My people will appreciate this."

"It was my wife's recipe. I believe she would have baked those better than I did." Thomas chuckled.

Leonardo handed the plate of cookies to Donatello. "Take these, Don. I'm gonna chat with our new friend." He said. Donnie nodded, taking the treats and walking from Leo and Tom. The turtle who looked down at Tom tapped his shoulder. "I'll give you a tour, Thomas."

"I'd like that." He said.

As Leo and Tom strolled the hallways of Anzen and made it to the football field outside, there were many mutants and humans building stables and different-sized animal pens. "This is where we'll keep our livestock," Leo said, looking in another direction. "The elementary school over there just across the baseball and soccer field is where we want to set our hospital."

"Do you have a doctor with you?" Tom asked, feeling the warm wind go through his hair.

Leo nodded at him. "Lin. She's been with us since we left the east coast."

"I'd be happy to meet her." Thomas said to Leo. "If I form a friendship with her then we can communicate greatly with medical experience."

"Sure," Says Leo, turning around to go back inside the school. There, he'd find Lin wearing her round glasses, her brown hair pulled up in a ponytail, and collecting paperwork in her personal room near the west side of the school. Leonardo knocked on the door before entering and watching Lin smile at her leader.
