13 || 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇

𝙼𝚊𝚢 𝟷𝟹𝚝𝚑, 𝟸𝟶𝟷𝟾

Bright and early, most of the mutants in Spokane were writing in their journals, just starting out their entries. Some were beginning their mornings rough and others are somewhat easy. As for Osa and Donnie, they were beginning to wake up to start their day and skipped their journals. Once they walked out into the mall, they were starstruck by how many different shifters were right in front of them.

They had different facial features, colored hair, unique eyes, and odd-shaped tails.

Osita doesn't understand that she's critical of these shape-shifters. She has no idea they are looking up to her and she does not know how each one is different and has specific skills. Cormac only explained for a brief moment about the shapeshifters but didn't go in-depth about them to his sister.

"Whoa, Don, you seeing this?" Osa whispered to him.

"Yeah," He says, studying each shifter that walked or flew by.

While the married couple casually walks around the mall, they are instantly greeted by the leader of the North Side. Unexpectedly, Cormac swooped in and landed in front of his sister and his brother-in-law. He folded his large and dark wings behind his back and smiled at them both. "Good morning, you two. How did you sleep?"

"Pretty good." Osa replied. "How about you?"

"Ah good, I get up early to make sure this place is running smoothly." Cormac says to her, running his hand through his hair. "Hey, why don't you guys get some breakfast and meet me out front, yeah?"

Donnie nodded. "Sure. Thanks."

"See you soon." Cormac said, opening up his wings inside the mall and descending to the lower floor.

The couple, Donnie and Osa exchange glances and agree to go find some food.

Back at Leo's Community, Michelangelo, Shado, Alex, and Grace are focusing on scavenging around the area today. Before they could leave, they signed out of the Check-In/Out book at the front doors of Anzen. Once they were ready to go, they grabbed a few horses and exit the community, and head down 32nd Street, going east. Today, Mikey is leading them and made sure each person was hydrated and in good condition before stepping out of the school's property.

As they walk the horses, they go by abandoned and still houses and the quietest areas. Every once in a while, they'd spot a Walker and leave it alone. Surprisingly to them, they are getting used to the monsters being around most of the time. They thought it was necessary to kill them if they were stirring up trouble.

Before they knew it, they were on a road called Sullivan, one of the main roads which were used many times before the world ended. Then, they made it to a road on the right side called Saltese which contains a ton of farmland and livestock. Well, did. "What do you think?" He asked either of his friends or Shado.

Alex, the Blinder and Grace the Phaser mutants were confused about Mikey's interest in this area. "Why this road?" Asked Alex, sitting on top of Rain, the white horse that belongs to Vincent.

Mikey smirked at him. "Farmland. Where there's farmland, there's great supplies." He began walking down Saltese, the horse hooves clicking and clacking.

"Oh, yeah? Like what?" Grace asked, following behind on Sugar, the buckskin horse.

Shado answered for him, riding Lucky, the paint horse that Donnie had found a while ago. "Food, animals, some other things we wouldn't expect."

Alex and Grace nod and follow the mutant turtle down the road that's shaded by pine trees, trees that were getting thicker and thicker as time goes on.

The young mutant turtle hasn't led a group like this in quite a long time. Probably been almost a year. And he just hopes that he can do this right again. He would look around every few seconds, making sure that they wouldn't get ambushed by bandits, infected, or any vicious animals that might be hiding in the bushes.
