Cuts bleed
Tears fall
It all happens
Beyond your walls.Bones shatter
Hearts break
It all happens
Before you wake.Nights grow longer
Memories fade
It all happens
In the morning shade.Heads ache
Tummies hurt
It all happens
Under my shirt.Four months later
I get a call.Came back for a quickie
Welcomed a shock
I was six months pregnant
And craving tons of chalk. You tell me you're sorry
You feel really bad
I tell you, "Don't worry"
I'm no longer bitter
I'm only sad.
