Dark nights
No lights
Opening my eyes
Before the time is right.
My stomach turns,
I check the time:
5:23. Just sublime.I wish my head didn't work like this.
I try the breathing techniques,
Nothing changes;
The positive affirmations,
Nothing changes;
Pretending to sleep 'til I drift away,
Nothing changes.My stomach is getting worse;
I'm hunched over in bed.
5:57 : I think I need the bathroom.
I step as stealthily as I can;
I don't want to wake my mom.My stomach pain is cramping my sides now,
I need to hurry up.
The faster I go to the bathroom,
The quicker I can try to go to sleep.And once I'm done in the bathroom,
I feel better,
But I know there's more to come
Before 7.
