Lynn's P.O.V

"Hey Lynn you coming?" Becca asked waving her hand in front of my face.

I shook my head and smiled coming out of my daze I was in. Its only a couple more months until I turn 18 and get to find my mate. I'm so excited I can't wait. I keep day dreaming about what he might be like. What he might look like.

" yeah, I'm coming I just need to stop by my locker" I said while getting up out of my desk. I grabbed my text book and binder off my desk and slung my bag over my shoulder before I headed out the class room to the hallway. It was pretty deserted which is usual for this time of day since it was after school hours. I have to tutor students after school and I get points for it. It also looks really good for college which I can't wait.

I walked to my locker which was at the end of the hall. I opened my locker using the combination to it I hate these damned things. I put my things in there and for once I don't have to take anything home with me. I close my locker and head out to the parking lot. I'm a werewolf but I go to an all human school because my father don't believe in packs so we are not apart of one. I think we should be because then I have a better chance of finding my mate.

Finally I reach the parking lot and spot my best friend Becca leaning against the driver side door with josh basically glued to her.

Humans amaze and disgust me and honestly what was their god thinking? They don't have soul mates they don't have that one person made for them. They just try to find that person that makes them happy a lot of them whore their self around until they find the one they want.

I walk up to the car and get into the passenger side. I only really have one friend that's truly my friend and that would be my wolf. My dad thinks I should have human friends. I don't but Becca's not all that bad she's funny as hell and some days I wish I could be human and ignorant to what's out there. I mean we are the only supernatural things that actually exist. There are no witches or anything of that nature. There are hunters who still believe that vampires, witches, warlocks and people with abilities like telepathy and telliknessis all kinds of shit. But no that's only in books and movies.

Finally she got into the car she turned towards me and gave me a shy smile. Becca and Josh have been together for as long as I've know her. I mean don't get me wrong he's really good to her. But they will read each others mind. They will never get to feel what the other is feeling.

"Sorry it took so long. Its just he gave me a promise ring and I kind of attacked him" Becca said holding out her left hand.

The ring was pretty it had a silver band with diamonds in the shape of an heart. It was simple and beautiful like her.

"That's really pretty, Congradulations" I said smiling

"Thank you" she said and started the car and turned on the radio. That song 'can't remember to forget you' by shakira and rihanna (I think I spelled that right lol) and we started singing along to it.

After the last song Now is the time (Ravenos) by ten years come on we were pulling into my driveway. I would say that I only live a couple of minutes from the school but that would be a lie. This girl flies everywhere.

"Bye girl" I said as I get out of her car.

"Bye girlie" she said and drove off.

I walk into the living room to see my dad with his head in his hands and bottles of liquor cover the floor. I walk cautiously towards him.

"Dad, Are you okay? " I asked softly.

You see werewolves don't get drunk easily so for there to be this many bottles littering the floor there has to be something seriously wrong.

"I found my mate" my father whispers his voice cracking at the end.

My father gave up on her after he couldn't find her for over three years and settled down with a woman that lost her mate in a war. Well they had me by accident and after I was born she left. I never met her dad never talked about her so I never cared to anything about her.

"That's amazing dad!" I said smiling

" but we have to back to her pack baby girl she do sent know about you I'm worried she's gonna reject me if she does know about you so I'm sensing you to an old friend of mines pack" my father said
