Sora moped around her house for the next few days. She found it hard to breathe, to move, to play. She felt herself falling apart. And she didn't know why.

Later, she knocked on her mother's door and sat on her mother's bed who held her while she cried. "It's ok Sora."

"Why does everything feel, wrong?"

"It's going to be ok, I think you're just sick."

"How could I be sick, I only went to the coffee shop with Jeonghan?"

"Did anything happen there?"

"Well, I met my soulmate." Her mom pulled back.

"What?"

"Yeah." Her mother grabbed Sora's face and turned it towards her.

"Listen to me. A soulmates touch is healing. But until you complete your bond, you must keep in contact with each other or both of you will die."

"What?" Her mother sighed and dropped her hands.

"The soulmate bond is not completed by the meeting. If two are not properly bonded, they cannot be without the other for long periods of time. Once properly bonded, yes, but not until then."

"How long do I have?"

"How long ago did you meet him?"

"About three days ago."

"Then you have four days until you die. Sora, that's why you're sick."

"What do I do?"

"Find him. Obviously he's in the same state as you. It shouldn't be that hard." Sora sat in numb silence. 'Complete the soulmate bond. Why? Why is death the price of freedom?' She sighed. 'Time to call him.'

Sora called Yeosang several times but he never picked up. She tried to reach him with her mind but felt a block whenever she tried. And with every passing second she felt weaker.

Jina noticed that Sora wasn't feeling good. "You ok?" Sora just nodded. She didn't really feel like letting anyone else know. She went to the Internet cafe and played, though she lost every game. After that, Sora just gave up and went to find her boss.

"Can I take leave?" He looked up.

"How long, what for, will you still be able to work?"

"Not long, at most a week, I'm getting sick, I don't think I'll be able to work, but I'll work extra when I'm back." He nodded, satisfied.

"Ok, take leave. You work enough so take your time." Sora smiled and bowed.

"Thank you sir." She went home, heart heavy, every step sluggish, like she was walking through mud. She lay on her bed for an hour, calling Yeosang every five minutes. He never answered.

At around midnight, Jina came into the room. Sora hadn't even realized she had left. "Jinnie?"

"Sor-sor, Mom told me what happened. Jeonghan says he'll be here tomorrow. We'll get through this don't worry." Jima crouched by Sora's bed and stroked her hair.

"I called him and he didn't pick up. I can't connect. What's wrong with me?"

"Nothing's wrong with you."

"Am I going to die Jinnie?"

"Not if I have any say in it."

"I'm scared."

"I know." Jina patted Sora on the head. "We'll figure this out, I promise." She turned away, headed for bed. Sora grabbed Jina's wrist. Jina turned and looked at Sora startled.

"Hurry," Sora's eyes fluttered shut. "I only have three days left," she murmured. Sora fell asleep, hand slipping off of Jina's wrist. Jina stared at her sleeping sister, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

"I'll figure this out Sora. I promise."
