Sora rolled out of bed the next morning, slightly confused as to where she was. It didn't help that as soon as she woke up her soulmate decided it would be a great idea to try to talk to her.
"What's up hoe?"
"Shut up soulmate."
"I really wish the connection would let us tell each other our names because I want to make fun of you in ways I can't express."
"I bet I could find a way to insult you more."
"I doubt it, I'm amazing at insulting people."
"I bet you are."
"You hate me cause you ain't me."
"No I hate you cause you're annoying and I just woke up."
"Girl it's 10 am."
"Boy, who said you could judge me like that?"
"No one, I make the rules."
"No you don't-" he cut off the connection. "What, get back here brat!"
"What's all this racket?" Sora looked up at Jina, seething. "Oh, talking to the soulmate huh?"
"I hate him."
"I know. We all know. Now get dressed, we need clean before Jeonghan gets here, he doesn't need to know that we live like this." Sora huffed, but got up off the floor. Once dressed, she hurried downstairs, grabbing an apple as breakfast.
"You need to eat something proper-"
"Sorry, I can't mom, got a lot to do, so little time." Sora, apple in one hand, broom in another, whipped around the house like a cleaning whirlwind.
"Girl, you're an overachiever."
"I'm just average, you're the one who thinks she's too pretty to clean."
"I am too pretty, so is Jeonghan. You'd be pretty too if you did facemasks with me."
"I don't care about your stupid facemasks, I have a job, and school, girl, I turn 19 soon. It's literally my last year of high school, you can fight me."
Several hours and arguments later, Sora was sitting on the couch. She had set the table for their two extra guests, and basically cleaned the entire house by herself.
Jina redeemed herself by cooking, something that Sora, while she was good at, hated.
Sora jumped as the doorbell rang, running to open the door. "Hannie!" She tackled her brother in a hug.
"Sora!" Jeonghan smiled, pulling away from her. "Wow you're looking good, and older." Sora wacked his arm.
"Stop, you and I both know I look like a potato."
"Nah." Sora turned.
"Oh Joshua, I almost forgot you were coming."
"Wow I feel so loved, where's my hug?"
"Right here you impatient hoe."
"I can't believe you don't use honorifics."
"Calm down Hannie, he's American, it doesn't matter."
"Jeonghan, Joshua!" Sora rolled her eyes as Jina burst in, giving hugs to the two boys. She was wearing a short skirt per usual and a crop top to match.
"Dang sis, way to cover up."
"It doesn't matter, you know I'm all about saving for the soulmate."
"Yeah right," Sora whispered under her breath. Joshua heard her and snickered. She looked at him and he winked. As Jina and Jeonghan disappeared into the house, Joshua smiled.
"You're a real treasure Sora, your soulmate is lucky." He slapped her lightly on the back and went inside. Sora sighed as she closed the door. 'It'd be nice if my soulmate thought like you.'
