Sora smiled, the summer breeze lazily flowing through her hair. Xiaoling looked radiant as she walked down the aisle. When she stood in front of Jun, her eyes were shining. Yeosang's voice filled Sora's mind from where he was sitting. "That could be us but you playing." Sora muffled her laughter while scolding Yeosang in her head.
She did cry when the two said their vows. Another one of her best friends met their match. She felt so proud of them. Meixiu stood next to Sora and cried with her. Then later during the reception, the three girls cried together, only to be scolded by Miri who in her own words said that this was the happiest day of Xiaoling's life and they shouldn't ruin it.
Sora was happy, happy as she lifted her glass in cheers to their new life, happy as a tear slipped down her cheek in joy, happy as they interacted, laughed, talked. Sora's childhood had finally come to a close. She was 21, she had lived this long, with Yeosang at her side she felt on top of the world.
They had decided to travel. Sora joined the group on every tour, Yeosang having announced the fact that they were fated at one of their latest concerts. The fans took it well surprisingly. Sora was proud of Yeosang and what he had accomplished, still a bit pissed off that he had very few lines.
Sora couldn't wait for the years to come, for her life and the world that awaited her. Jeonghan had met his soulmate in a grocery store, they ended up having a screaming match and getting kicked out. But the Japanese girl, Sayuri, was a sweetheart and Sora knew that she and Jeonghan would be perfect together.
Sayuri became very good friends with a darling girl named Natalie, an Aussie carat who turned out to be Joshua's soulmate. The rest of the group grumbled, still offended they hadn't met theirs. Sora tried comforting them, but Wonwoo was still convinced that he wouldn't find his any time soon.
Sora facepalmed however when he tripped and spilled wine on Xiaoling's sister Xiuling and found out that they were soulmates. Seungcheol was so astounded he just stood up and clapped at Wonwoo's stupidity. Sora thought that he might have regretted not wearing glasses. Luckily, Xiuling was a nice person, or he might have gotten slapped.
When the wedding was over, Sora headed home, changing quickly into more comfortable clothing. She had just settled into bed when Yeosang decided to interrupt.
"Sora. Sora come meet me in the garden." She rolled her eyes, but complied, getting up, getting changed, leaving her family behind, questioning where she was going this late. She didn't care as she ran, the night cooler than the sweltering of the day, wind cool against her skin.
The feeling of running to the garden was her favorite, running down the road, through the trees, through the lights, stopping in front of the weeping willow that to Sora was the most beautiful tree in the world.
Because her soulmate was standing underneath it, illuminated in golden light, she could barely see his face and it was like the first night that she saw him. "Yeosang," she breathed. He held out his arms and she ran and hugged him, felt herself being lifted off the ground and spun around.
When Yeosang set her down, she smiled. "You came," he whispered.
"Of course." He grabbed her hand, turning to look up at the tree.
"Isn't it beautiful?"
"Stunning." Yeosang looked at her, grinning.
"It's not quite as beautiful as you darling." Sora giggled.
"I think you need to get your eyes checked."
"I think you need to start seeing yourself the way I do." He knelt on the ground, still holding her hand. Sora's breath caught in her throat. She looked down into his eyes, the way the light caught them, turning them gold. "Sora, I love you. And I would like to keep loving you. So, will you marry me?"
She couldn't keep her tears from spilling over. She nodded, sinking to her knees and hugging him. "Of course, you think I'd say no?" Yeosang chuckled.
"It never hurts to ask." He drew back, removing a box from his pocket, slipping a golden ring on her finger. Sora smiled.
"It looks like our light."
"That's what I thought of." Sora looked into Yeosang's eyes, smiling, crying, laughing. "You're beautiful," he whispered.
"So are you." He laughed, and then he kissed her, and he was filled with joy, and the sound of her laughter as they broke apart and she kissed him again.
So the soulmates stood, enveloped in golden light together.
