Sora fell asleep on the long ride to KQ Entertainment headquarters. By the time they got there, it was around 3 pm and Sora could barely walk. She hobbled along, helped by Minghao and Jun. Mingyu cleared the way ahead of them, his tall body pushing through crowds of people walking.
Jeonghan snapped at every single staff person they met, Jina hurrying after him appologizing. When they finally found the front desk, after 15 minutes of running around and asking for directions, the 95 liners did not stop. Joshua ripped the phone out of the secretory's hand and Seungcheol glared at her while Jeonghan basically yelled at her about the situation.
"I'm sor-sorry," she stuttered out.
"Sorry isn't going to make my sister get better! We need to see Ateez!"
"I'm not qualified for that sir." With a shaky hand she grabbed the phone back from Joshua and called someone else. They waited for another half an hour while the secretary hurriedly made calls. By the end of it she was nearly in tears. She dropped her head into her hands. "I'm sorry, I can't get a hold of my higher ups, they aren't answering. You're welcome to stay here until they come, I'm so sorry."
Jina pouted and patted the girl's head. "It's ok-"
"Mina."
"Mina, it's ok Mina. It's not your fault." Jina whipped around and glared at Jeonghan. "We'll sit down and wait. Seungcheol? Call your manager again and see if he can get ahold of them." And so they waited. It must have been a sight to passersby, the 15 of them sitting around Sora who was slowly getting worse.
Seungcheol passed back and forth, calling and yelling, calling and yelling again. Wonwoo stared off into space. Sora thought it was funny that he didn't show emotions all that often. She never knew what he was thinking.
"Sirs?" Everyone looked towards the secretary who had come over. "Ateez has gone to a secondary location, I'll give you the address, you can go straight in with this." She handed Seungcheol a pass then looked at Sora sympathetically. "Good luck."
Then it was back on the road. It was around 5 pm when they left KQ, only to find that the location Ateez had gone to was eight hours away. Jeonghan called Ateez's managers, letting them know what was going on. Thankfully, Mina gave them the correct numbers this time.
They were glad to hear that they were on their way. Jina stroked Sora's hair in the car. "Apparently Yeosang passed out in the middle of filming for an MV and they've been trying to figure out what happened. Don't worry Sora, we'll get there, don't worry."
Despite the Yoon siblings protests about stopping, around 10 pm, everyone was hungry and so they did stop for food. They had to stop again an hour later for fuel. Sora was getting restless. By midnight the next day, she would be dead if they didn't get there in time. She didn't know.
As the sun rose the next day, Seungcheol pulled into the parking lot of a hotel, where Ateez was supposedly staying. Jina volunteered to go in, coming back 20 minutes later with news that they weren't allowed to see them.
Finally, at around 7 am, Seungcheol got confirmation that they could go in. Sora had almost fallen asleep, her eyes fluttering as she felt her own life force draining away. Jeonghan yelled at nearly every staff member they encountered, Joshua had to hold him back.
When they reached the rooms that Mina had told them, they were stopped by security. Seungcheol went to pull the pass out of his pocket, only to remember he left it in the car.
"You're an idiot," Jeonghan said facepalming. So they waited while Seungcheol went to go find the pass. He came back ten minutes later, out of breath. When security let them in, they ran into one of the managers who, realizing who they were, led them to a back room where seven people were crowding around a couch.
"Yeosang's soulmate is here," announced the manager. They looked up, giving Mingyu enough space to carry Sora and place her on the couch next to him. Her eyes fluttered and she slowly reached over and grabbed his hand. Then she fell over onto his shoulder, letting herself succumb to the darkness.
