Sora wasn't quite sure what she was dressing up for so she went with what Jina called fancy casual. She stared at herself in the mirror, and raised one eyebrow. "Really? A skirt? I know I've worn them before but this is too much."
"No it's not!"
"It's too short Jin. I'm changing." Jina threw her head back dramatically.
"You asked me for my fashion advice and I gave it to you, why aren't you listening?"
"Because I don't care!" Sora ended up wearing a red skirt and black top, leaving her hair down. And then she waited nervously, biting her fingernails, jumping when the doorbell rang.
Sora's fears melted away when Yeosang smiled at her, held out his arm for her to take. "You look nice," he whispered. She smiled.
"So do you." He nodded.
"I'm taking you to one of my favorite places. It won't take long, that's why we're walking." Sora's eyes lit up.
"I've always wanted to go on an adventure." Yeosang smiled at her.
"I'm glad." They walked in silence, away from the city, away from the crowds. As the atmosphere got lighter, a small breeze rustled Sora's hair. Yeosang pulled Sora down a small dirt road, the golden glow of light up ahead and then she gasped as she saw it.
A garden, filled with trees that were covered in lights. "It's beautiful," she breathed.
"Like you." Yeosang looked up at the lights. "They remind me of you, of us." He followed Sora as she walked underneath them, marveling at they designs, the colors. And with every second, every minute that passed, he seemed to fall deeper, entranced by her presence.
"Thank you Yeo, for taking me." He smiled, though she couldn't see him as her back was turned. He ran a bit to catch up with her, catching her hand, lacing their fingers together.
"Anything for you darling." Sora blushed, thankful that the darkness covered her, but Yeosang noticed anyway, his laugh seeming to light the place up. Sora thought his laughter was her favorite sound. "Come on." Yeosang yanked her along the path. "I want to show you my favorite tree."
Sora ran with him, wind blowing through her hair, nipping at her cheeks, until they stopped, in front of a weeping willow. Sora looked at Yeosang curiously. "Why is this your favorite?"
He looked straight up, eyes shining. "It represents sadness right?" He looked down at Sora. "But it's so beautiful paired with the lights." They both turned and admiring the branches that reached out their arms, almost as if to pull them in. Yeosang smiled at Sora and pulled her underneath the tree.
He turned, pulling her closer under the branches, smiling, thinking that he wanted to create his favorite memory underneath his favorite tree. And then he kissed her, and everything was perfect.
Almost cried, ngl. I feel like this book will end soon, not that soon, but soon..
Thoughts?
Until next time!
