Wooyoung was happy to leave that town behind him. He hated the feeling that had blanketed over him of the distressed omegas and he wanted nothing more to do with it.

It left a bad taste in his mouth that he was having a hard time shaking...

Seonghwa huffed next to him and nudged him with his shoulder. Don't dwell on it. We don't need to worry about it anymore.

I know. I just feel bad for the ones left behind. You haven't experienced the full life of being an omega Hwa... Wooyoung looked at him and let his ears fall back.

He could feel the guilt rolling off his mate and went to lick his neck. I know. I'm sorry.

You don't need to apologize. It's not you're fault. Wooyoung let out a small whine, then focused on where Jongho and San were scanning the forest a head of them.

After leaving the town behind, they had come to the agreement that they should start looking for a place to live so they didn't keep traveling.

Seonghwa made sure the alphas knew that he didn't have the intention of staying with them for long, which they said they understood.

Wooyoung didn't know how he felt about it. He like the pair. They had been so nice and accepting of them. But he trusted Seonghwa too, and if his mate felt they could strike out on their own, then he would follow Seonghwa anywhere.

They traveled for a few days, skirting around claimed territories and working to avoid any wolves in the area. The less they had to lie about their relationships, the better.

It was still challenging, not having a pack link between the four of then, but they managed to make it work.

Wooyoung was getting really good at reading San's signs specifically. He could tell when the alpha had caught wind of something, or when his wolf was struggling being near Jongho.

The younger alpha was a little more challenging. But he fought with his wolf a lot more, so he was constantly in a state of internal battle.

Even Seonghwa struggled with his occasionally.

If anything, Wooyoung had the easiest time with the mating bond since Seonghwa had taken on the more dominant role in the relationship. His wolf still wanted to reject the older constantly, but it was also the first to want to spring to action if it thought something was wrong with his mate.

It was a major headache more than anything.

After a few days of traveling, Jongho perked up and froze. His hackles rose slowly.

San stood next to him, facing the same direction. His tail dropped slowly, a sign that he didn't like what he was sensing.

Then both alpha bolted. Dirt sprayed behind them as they dug their paws into the ground to help them go faster.

Seonghwa watched with wide eyes. Whatever it must be... It has to be bad. Let's go see if we can help.

The younger nodded and stayed by his mate's side as they followed the alphas.

Soon the smell of a distressed omega reached them, as well as snarls and yelps of pain come from ahead of them.

Seonghwa slowed down and crept forward, keeping himself between the sounds and Wooyoung.

The pair hid behind some bushes and watched worriedly at the scene unfolding in front of them.

Three large, grey wolves were attacking another pack. A brown alpha jumped at one, while a brown, black and white alpha had his teeth locked around other one's neck. A tall brown and tan beta was dancing around that alpha, trying to help him.
