It was a peaceful night in the pack house, for once everyone wasn't on edge that something was going to go wrong or that their month of peace after Blue Star had just been a dream.

Yeosang and Mingi were out in the forest on a midnight walk, and perhaps doing something else, but if they come back with distressed clothes and messy hair, no one will comment on it. Wooyoung and Seonghwa offered to babysit for the pair, and they were currently in the living room watching nursery rhymes with Yunho and Hongjoong, as both of the babies were infatuated with the television.

Baby Aiden was settling in nicely, and his parents took to caring for him like they had been born for it. He was a quiet pup, not fussing much unless he was away from Yunho for too long, or when he was hungry. Archer definitely loves the presence of another pup in the house, and even though he was months older then his pack mate, he loved being around him.

Everyone in the house quickly fell in love with Aiden, especially Seonghwa. Jongho and San took a notice to this, the way he would have a smile on his face when he feed him or rocked him in the recliner for a nap, and especially the way he loved to blow raspberries in his tummy after he's had a bath. It was obvious he wanted to be a mom, painfully obvious. And even with Wooyoung around the corner about to give birth, Jongho had a feeling Seonghwa wanted to experience the journey of pregnancy, just as everyone around him has.

So, as him and San lay together in their bed, Jongho asking them if they could retire to their room early just so he could talk to San about it, he brings it up.

"San, I think it's time."

"It is?"

Jongho's heart clenches feeling San squirm in his arms, and he knows why. Even after all the time they've known each other, San is still petrified of Seonghwa. From the first day they met, Seonghwa made it known that he thought of himself above San in terms of rank, even though he's a alpha and Seonghwa's an omega. San also doesn't really know how to top someone, having Jongho be his first and strictly being a bottom every time they've had sex.

They also don't understand the complexity of their ranks, how their eyes change into a deep, dangerous shade of orange instead of a normal alpha red and omega gold. After Seonghwa brought it up to Mingi to see if he's ever heard of it, the alpha said he's only meet one other wolf like that, Jaimin, Daehyun's mate. The only explanation he could give was that their wolf had taken on a different role then they were meant for, and even though they still had the blood and soul of their original rank, their wolf had taken on a different identity of sorts, to carter to their mate. For Seonghwa, it was the ability to be dominate for Wooyoung, and for San, the ability to be submissive for Jongho.

It was still so confusing for the two, to the point where Jongho offered to mate with Seonghwa to make it easier on everyone, but Seonghwa said he wouldn't be able to do it because he was scared Jongho would try to make him submit because of how dominant he was, and the last thing he wants to be submissive again.

"It's kind of comforting to know that I won't have to be completely dominant though, because I don't know how. But how are we going to convince him to leave Wooyoung? Should we wait till after he gives birth?"

"I feel like it would be too late then, he isn't gonna leave Wooyoung's side for a second once the babies here, and winter is closing in, so he'll have to watch everyone with their own babies for close to half a year before it's warm enough for you two to go outside. And I already spoke to Wooyoung about it, I'm gonna stay with him while you two are gone, and Woo's talking to Seonghwa about it right now too. He'll send me a signal when he gets a answer."

San nods as he flops on his back, staring up at the ceiling of his bedroom as he starts to think.

"Do you think we're gonna be good parents?"

Jongho sighs as he rolls on his back as well, grabbing San's hand as he strokes the back of his hand with his thumb. "I hope so. It's gonna be different from us babysitting Archer or Aiden, these are going to be our babies. Our own flesh and blood. We made them. When I left home for the first time, I never really expected to have a mate, let alone an entire pup."

"I also never expected to mate an alpha, so we're both surprised."

Jongho laughs at his mate's remark, and he presses a kiss to the side of his head as he feels a little pulse come through his link.

He said yes. But he told me to tell you if you leave my side for even a second, he'll shove his entire foot up your-

Jongho chuckles at Seonghwa's threat as he responds.

Alright, please don't finish that thought. Thank you, Woo.

"What are you laughing about?"

"Seonghwa said okay, and with a very clear message that I'm not allowed to leave Wooyoung alone. You two are leaving tomorrow evening."

"Oh, getting rid of me so fast? How rude of you."

San squeals as Jongho climbs on top of him, the smile on his face a clear indicator that he was joking.

"I'll never get rid of you, Choi San. No matter what. Ever since the day I saved your life, you got stuck with me. You just have to accept that you're gonna have two pups stuck with you as well."

A deep, content rumble starts in Jongho's chest as San pulls his face down for a kiss, nothing extreme or hungry, just a sweet and gentle display of their affection. Even as San pulls away to scent Jongho's neck, the alpha can't help but whine as he hugs him close.

"I love you, Jongho. I mean that."

"I love you too, San."
