Everyone was home for Christmas that wanted to be, Helios was supposed to come back with me to the Black home, but he cancelled last minute. I was tired, I hadn't slept much the night before, my anxieties getting the best of me yet again. Remus has spoke to me briefly this morning, asking for me to meet him in the kitchen in the afternoon. He was nervous and it only made me more scared of what he was going to say. Sirius sat next to me as I explained to him my situation with Draco.

"I don't understand what he expects, I hardly talk to the boy, yet he still glares at me if I so much as make eye contact with him. But, I've seen him and Draco walking around the school together, it makes no sense." I explained and Sirius sipped his coffee before nodding at me.

"Yes it does seem peculiar, have you spoke to Helios about it?" He asked and I shook my head. "Maybe when you get back, you should sit down with him and talk about it. Something seems off." He said and I agreed with him.

"I'm sure it could just be me overreacting." I stared at my hands and Sirius leaned forward, patting my knee gently. I looked up at him and he smiled, I returned the smile. We both looked up to see Moony enter the room, he looked at Padfoot who nodded and excused himself from the room

Sirius left the room, shutting the door behind him as  I looked at Moony, he was in deep thought, I wasn't sure what he was going to tell me and if I believed it was truly not bad. By the way everyone had looked at me when I got here, I suspected it was another thing to ruin my life. I looked over at the newspaper, the headlines still on about Harry and how he was a liar, how Umbridge was changing Hogwarts. I shivered as a portrait of the woman smiled at me. I turned back to Moony, he was now looking at me, Sirius was outside of the door listening, I was sure of it.

"Your father was a very thoughtful man, he'd always think before he spoke, he'd try and fix certain situations that maybe people had gotten themselves into. He was everything a Slytherin was not at the time. He used to worship your mother as did James with Lily, the world revolved around your mother and when your brother and yourself were born, he only became more invested in his family. Your father died at the hands of a death eater, under Voldemort's order because your father had rebelled." Remus explained and I nodded. They'd never told me this kind of stuff before, they'd only ever told me of what kind of people my father and mother were. Remus looked down at his hands as he continued. "When I told you that I met your father in the first year of Hogwarts. I was lying." He admitted and I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked and he took a deep breath, clenching his fists and then unclenching them.

"Your father always knew how to control me, even when we were children. People used to tell us that because we were brothers, we had a strong emotional connection." For a second, my mind raced past the brothers part, taking in all the information I finally processed it.

"You were his brother?" I whispered, I wasn't angry. More hurt as to how I didn't know this sooner and Helios did since he wasn't here.

"I did want to tell you, but I could never find the right moment." He said and I stood, he stood with me. Panicking slightly, thinking I was going to be angry. But I quickly wrapped my arms around him, he stumbled back slightly but quickly wrapped his arms around me.

"Thank you," I whispered.

"What for?" He asked and I swallowed harshly as I hugged him tighter.

"For being there," I said and he just hugged me a bit tighter as well.

We all sat around the table for Christmas dinner, I sat in between Fred and George, as always. We opened our gifts and I beamed at the jumper I held in my hands, Molly Weasley had been making me jumpers since first year when Ron wrote home about the lonely Hufflepuff girl. Arthur Weasley looked happy as he looked around at his family, but my gaze fell on Harry who was stood further down the table, opening his jumper. Sirius watched behind him,  a smile on his face. Sirius and Harry needed each other more than anything, after the years they'd had, they deserved each other.

"Eurydice?" Ron questioned and I turned to him, not noticing the letter that had been placed in front of me. I looked at Gunny who nodded towards it and I looked down, immediately recognising the handwriting. I picked up the letter and excused myself, walking into the other room as I opened the letter.

'Dear Eurydice,

I hope you are well. Your brother has further threatened me on having any contact with you, but I suspect you will be spending Christmas with the Weasleys again. When we get back from Christmas, I ask you to meet me at the same place as last time.

Merry Christmas

Draco.'

I stared down at the letter, unsure as to how to react to it. I decided to forget about it for the time being, I ran upstairs and tucked it away inside of my bag before making my way back downstairs. This time Oscar followed me, staying close by my feet. I picked him up and he nuzzled closer to me. Sirius turned around as I came downstairs and huffed in annoyance.

"You just hate him because you're a dog," I whispered and sighed and shook his head.

"That and because the ghastly thing won't stop biting my ankles." I chuckled as Oscar jumped down from my arms and began exploring the house again. Sirius pulled me into a side hug as we watched everyone enjoy themselves.

"Are you scared?" My voice was just above a whisper, shaky and uncertain as my mood changed. Sirius pressed a kiss to the side of my head as he comforted me.

"Not yet." He whispered and I nodded, taking a deep breath and pulling myself back together again
