I danced around the Weasleys wizard wheezes, feeling absolute joy as I gazed around the bright and lovely store. If you were to look outside, you'd see nothing but empty and dark stores, all damaged by the death eaters. I gazed over at Hermione who was looking at the love potions with Ginny, I chuckled to myself as George looked around at the massive store. It was amazing what the twins had managed to do in just a summer, but no one really doubted their ability. But I felt myself looking at the love potions, my might wandering to someone I'd rather not think about when staring at love potions. I sighed and shook my head, turning around but walking into Fred and George.
"Ah, Maggie. Looking at the love potions I see?" Fred asked peering behind me and I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Only browsing, you know me, single for life." I shrugged and George shook his head and threw an arm around my shoulder.
"Won't be for long!" He exclaimed and I looked at him confused. Fred leaned forward as and whispered the 'Malfoy' into my ear and I jumped back in shock.
"Surely you guys are kidding?" I asked and the pair looked at each other and shook their heads. "I've never seen Malfoy be nice to someone, and in that letter he seemed pretty friendly." Fred admitted and I just rolled my eyes. Both boys walked away with their hands in surrender as I hugged and turned around, only to have lost my friends. I looked around and sighed in annoyance before making my way outside, munching on a bag of fudge as I did. When I spotted Harry, George, Ron and Hermione emerging from the alley way, looking awfully disheveled I smiled at them. Ron looked at me with sad eyes but I didn't take any notice.
"Hey guys! I was looking for you but you must have left, Fred and George gave me some Fudge." I said with a bright smile, feeling pretty positive. The atmosphere of the store must have really affected me.
"That's great, Eurydice." Harry said placing his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him confused but before I could question, George linked his arm with mine and I started telling him of a new movie coming out that I wanted to see.

The train station was busy as usual, everyone was running around and first years were trying to find their way around while also making new friends. It made me happy to see first years so fresh faced and full of wonder. I just wish their time hadn't been as the war was starting to boil. I looked over to Remus who was talking to Tonks, I rushed over and attacked them both in a hug.
"Oh jeez." Tonks laughed and I smiled as I pulled away. "You seem happy." She said and I nodded.
"I've decided to go in with a positive attitude this year. I feel like the worst has happened so far, we just have to see what the future holds." I said and Tonks nodded with a large smile. I looked at Remus who was already staring at me.
"Well, do keep in touch and remember to send me a letter if anything happens." He said and I nodded. He pulled me onto a hug and I gladly took it, squeezing him tightly as we stood on the train platform. The conductor called for everyone to get on the train and I pulled away, smiling at him as I ran to the door.
"Don't go to crazy without me!" I yelled back to him and he just rolled his eyes and smiled at me. When I got onto the carriage, I looked down the isle at the same time that Draco did. My heart fell as I saw his face in the coldness of the carriage. His face was pale, dark circles were prominent under his eyes and he looked like he hadn't slept in months. He broke eye contact before walking in the opposite direction of me, sitting down across from his friends. I glanced at him again, trying to figure out why in his letters he seemed to happy, but yet looked like he'd been unhappy for a while.
"Eurydice!" Ron called from down the carriage making me turn to him, he waved me to join them in the carriage and I obliged as the train started up. I poked my head out one last time to say by to Remus, but he seemed slightly concerned. But still, waved me off with a smile along with Tonks.
"Hey, you okay? You look like you saw a ghost." Hermione questioned and I shrugged, sitting down next to George.
"I thought I did for a second." I whispered. Everyone exchanged confused glances while I just gave myself a shake and then turned to Ron.
"So, you are you nervous about Quidditch try outs this year?" I asked and Ginny scoffed. I looked at her with a smirk while Ron looked at her offended.
"A bit..." he trailed off and I just smiled. Harry comforted his friend while I smiled as Helios made his way to the carriage.
"Hey guys. How are you all doing?" He asked making his way into the Carriage and sitting next to George, throwing an arm around his shoulder.
"Better now you're back on our side, though we lost you for a minute there mate." Ron said and Helios shook his head. Looking at me with a smile.
"Nah, I wouldn't turn my back on you guys. If it ever came down to it, I'd always be on your side." He said and I just smiled and nodded. Helios stayed for a while and we all talked about the year ahead. It was his last year and he seemed pretty bummed about it, but I knew he'd be fine.
"Hey guys, I'll be back in a minute. Going to go find Seamus, gotta ask him a question." I said excusing myself. I made my way through the carriages, when I'm asked past where Draco was sitting before, he wasn't there anymore. As I went to walk I to the other carriage after that, I was pulled to the side by someone.
"What're you doing?" Draco asked, holding my arm in his grip for a few moments before taking back his hand.
"I was looking for Seamus." I told him and he glanced at me quickly before looking away again. "What's wrong with you, you look like you've not slept in months." I whispered to him, not wanting anyone to hear us.
"It's nothing, just sick of going to Hogwarts." He said and I rolled my eyes and shook my head at him.
"As much as you say you hate it, you do enjoy Hogwarts." I joked, but he didn't smile, not even a smirk. He looked empty and my heart sank as I really noticed how pale he was. "Draco-" I began to speak but he cut me off.
"Just leave it, Eurydice." He said and I closed my mouth, not speaking any further. Before I could even breath, he was gone. Taking his seat back with his friends and trying everyone to avoid eye contact with anyone.
