Months had passed, around 6 months to be exact and things just got worse and worse. The Wizarding world and even the muggle world was plagued by depression. Being under the power of death eaters was killing people before the war even started. Helios was doing sit-ups ups in the living room while Fred and George were sat at the table. Georgie was sat next to me as we both played with a deck of cards. Molly and Arthur were in deep discussion outside. Teddy had been born about a month ago, the day was beautiful. It was the only sunny day for weeks that we had. He was the cutest baby I had ever seen in my life. I held him close to my chest as I wept, Remus crying beside me as Tonks watched her mini family happily. We didn't talk about the war that day. We just talked about Teddy Lupin.
"Shit Eurydice, I don't wanna play cards with you if you keep distracted." Georgie said throwing down his card, making me roll my eyes as I placed my cards down on the table. I pulled Oscar into my lap and he got comfy.
"You are such a pissy little bitch." I joked and Fred and George 'oooed' from the table making Helios fall back into laughter.
"I hate you all." He joked as he started his sit ups again. But all our smiles dropped when we watched Remus and Tonk jog up to Arthur and Molly. Panic on their faces. We all stood up and shared a hopeful look with each other, praying it wasn't what we thought it was. Remus bust through the door, looking around at everyone before his gaze rested on Helios and then myself.
"Harry is at Hogwarts." He told us all. Immediately I felt sick. Suddenly everyone sprung to action and we all got ready to go to Hogwarts. We used the floo network to get there, we appeared in a vacant room which was perfect for us.
"Dear god." I whispered under my breath as we began to make our way to where Harry was. I looked around at the place that was once my school, the darkness of it making it almost unrecognisable. As we came into a room, my heart lept as I spotted Ron.
"Oh Ron!" Molly exclaimed as she made her way over to her son. I turned to look at Harry, a lump rising in my throat. He looked so much older. He walked to me slowly and tears poured down my face.
"I'm so glad you're alright." I told him. He pulled me
Into a hug and I pulled him back tightly, holding him close to me.
"I saw him, he helped us." Harry whispered to me and I pulled away. Looking at him. He smiled at me, the smile was vacant but it was a smile. When he pulled away, I turned to Hermione who was looking at me teary eyed. I pulled her into a hug immediately.
"I'm so glad you're safe." I told her and she held me tighter. When I pulled away, I spotted the scar on her arm, my heart immediately dropping.
"It's okay, I'm okay." She told me and I looked at her. She smiled and I just sighed and nodded. I turned around, Ron standing looking at me.
"You blasted idiot, no letters, no contact. I thought you died!" I yelled at him as I approached him and he stared at me wide eyed.
"After all these months, that's the first thing you say to me?" He asked and I softened immediately. I wrapped my arms around Ron and he tightly hugged me back.
"Don't scare me like that." I whispered to him, he held me close to his chest as everyone shared a knowing look.
"I've missed you." He whispered. I hugged him tighter. When I pulled away, there was a pause of silence before we sprung into a plan of action. I looked around the room, watching my peers faces. My gaze landed on Luna who George was already talking. I looked over to see Neville, he seemed different, changed.
"Neville." I approached him and he smiled at me.
"Eurydice, we all missed you." He spoke, his tone was serious and stern. I smiled, but as I was about to speak, Harry called my name.
"Eurydice." He said, nodding towards where we had to go. I nodded with a smile.
"Go." Neville assured me. I followed after Harry and the others, I was terrified.
"We were at the Malfoy manner. He spared us, if it weren't for Draco, we'd be dead." Harry told me. I looked at him, there was a slight glint of something in his eyes. We stood outside of the great hall as Snape made his speech.
"By Christ, it's like hell." I whispered to myself. Ron looked at me with a raised eyebrow and I smiled at him sadly. George grabbed my hand as Kingsley opened the door and we walked into the great hall.
"It would seem that, despite your exhaustive defensive strategies, you have a bit of a security problem, headmaster." Hardy spoke towards Snape, who stared in disbelief as we emerged, standing at the top of the great hall. "And I'm afraid it's rather extensive." I looked around at the students I'd been going to school for years with, how their fear clouded the great hall. I spotted a mess of blonde hair as he turned around. "How dare you stand where he stood!" Harry yelled making me look back at him again. Harry draws his wand, Snape watched closely. "Tell them how it was. Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you... and killed him! Tell them!" Harry's voice bellowed around the hall. And just like that, chaos ensued. Snape retrieved his wand, pointing it towards Harry, but before he could do anything, McGonagall stood out, sending a spell towards Snape but he deflected it, sending the spell bouncing around the room. The rest of the teachers whip out their wands in defence of the Order. But just as anything could happen, Snape snuffed the lights in the Hall, leaving it in darkness, all expect the wands that were lighting up. Harry watched as Snape, now a bat, flew off into the sky.
