After what had happened last year at Hogwarts, the whole of the wizarding world was on edge. I didn't like to think about what happened, I don't think anyone did. The Weasleys tried their best not to talk about it, knowing how it made me feel. Cedric and I had been friends, everyone was friends with him. He was one of the most humble and nicest person you could ever meet, so when only Harry emerged out of the maze alive, everyone was in shock. Harry swore up and down, that the man who killed Cedric was Voldemort, which I had no doubt in my mind was the truth. But, he'd been labelled a liar. The summer had been long and painful, but it was spent with each other, well except from Harry who we weren't allowed to have any contact with at the moment.

I'd spent the summer going from the Weasleys to George's and visiting Helios when I could. I'd also spent more time with Sirius and Remus, learning more about my parents and what kind of people they were. I shivered slightly as I stared at the wall of the black household, my gaze had been fixated on Sirius's name, scratched out since he had been disowned from the family. I hadn't been much myself, not sure who myself was anymore. After what happened in third year, I started to doubt myself and the people around me. I could hear Sirius walk into the room, looking at me to where I was staring

"How long have you been in here?" He asked, his voice was soft and full of compassion. I knew he cared, he and Remus felt like the uncles I hadn't got to know. I looked down at the sleeves of my jumper, shrugging as I pulled my knee up to my chest.

"An hour or so. I had a headache and this room was quiet." I said and he nodded. He sat down on the floor next to me, staring at the wall that probably haunted him.

"I used to hate your father," Sirius said and I didn't look at him, but instead leaned against him, he continued. "He was what I strived to be, a Slytherin. He was a bit like your brother, didn't come across as a Slytherin, was always positive and enjoyed the time he had. But, when I first met him, I was cold to him, the boys could never understand why. But he knew, he knew it was because of my family. So, he tried everything in his power to prove to me, that I was worth more than my bloodline." He said and now I turned to him. "I spent a lot of Christmas's at your dad's house and the Potters." He finished and I nodded.

"I wish I'd known everything so much sooner," I said and Sirius nodded, standing up and offering me his hand. I took it and he pulled me up.

"I know you do. But everything comes to us at the right time." He said and I sighed, but nodded. We left the room and Sirius shut the door gently, I sat at the kitchen table, picking up the newspaper and reading through it, Hermione, Ron and George were upstairs while Mr and Mrs WEasley were in the kitchen with me. Fred and George were off messing around as always.

"Eurydice, dear. Would you like a cup of tea?" Mrs Weasley asked me gently, I nodded to her with a smile and looked back at the newspaper. It had been the same thing since the end of school. all about Harry and Voldemort. I sighed and roughly placed the newspaper on the table, making Mr Weasley look up from his own one. I decided to make my way upstairs, walking into the room where everyone was sat.

"Harry should be here soon," Sirius said as he entered the room, ruffling my hair slightly, Making me smile as I thanked Mrs Weasley for the tea.

"The poor boy has been through so much." Mr Weasley said, shaking his head. I nodded and sipped my tea as I gazed at the window. It was windy outside, something unnerving in the air. Oscar jumped onto my lap, cuddling closer to my chest. Sirius eyed the cat up in with annoyance, there had been a few times that the pair had, had some difficulties.

"Oh, Maggie. I forgot, this letter came for you while you were through in the other room, I didn't want to bother you." Arthur said sliding the letter down to me, it stopped beside my cup and I looked down at it. The handwriting I'd sat next to in Defence against the dark arts for the past few years striking fear into me, I froze as everyone watched me. I shivered as I opened the letter, Sirius sat back to discreetly read the letter over my shoulder.

'Dear Eurydice,

I imagine even after last term, you will be returning back to Hogwarts. Your brother has been sending me letters to warn me, that if I speak to you he shall break my ankles, I am not sure if he is joking or not. So, I do have to ask that you ask him to stop harassing me.

Malfoy'

I rolled my eyes as I placed the letter back into the envelope and placed it under my cup of tea. Sirius looked at me and I just sighed. I shrugged and he nodded, I finished my tea and made my way upstairs, navigating my way to where my friends were.

"Harry will be here soon. "I said tucking the envelope into my bag and everyone nodded.

"Where did you disappear off to?" George asked as I lay on the floor, placing my legs up against the bed.

"I was just downstairs." I shrugged and Ron looked at me concerned. Ron and I had become much like family, I mean we'd always been close friends. But living with him was definitely different than just seeing him at school. He knew me a lot better now that we spent so much time together, maybe even better than I knew myself. George and I were still as close as ever and the same for Hermione, but still, I felt lost.
