I was awoken to the fluttering of wings, I sat up straight in my bed, looking around the darkness of my room, my heart in my throat as anxiety grew inside of me. I peered down at the note in my lap, looking over to where Oscar would have been sleeping, but he wasn't there. I looked back at the note, noticing out of the corner of my eye that my trunk was gone from where it usually sat. I picked up the note and unfolded it, taking in the letters, still in a sleep like state.
'Meet me by the entrance of the house in 5 minutes.'
My heart lept as I quickly tucked the note into my pocket, feeling a sense of urgency now. I didn't bother with my slippers, instead looked around for my stuff, but it didn't seem to be in the room. I grabbed my wand and threw on a cardigan, debating against slippers in fear that they made to much noise. I slowly and quietly made my way down to the main part of the house, trying to be as quiet as possible, scared that any noise would wake up Lucius. I quietly rounded the corner and saw Draco, dressed pj bottoms and a jumper. He held out his hand and nodded towards the door.
"Quick." He whispered. I took his hand but as he opened the door, his mother appeared at the bottom of the hallway.
"Draco." She said, looking from him to me, her gaze staying on me for a few moments before returning back to her son. "Be careful." She whispered and my heart lept to my throat. I smiled at the woman thankfully and we quickly left the house. Draco dragging me out through the large gates before without another word, Draco pulled out his wand and appirated us. When we got back to land, I groaned and stumbled back.
"Shit Malfoy, you could've warned me. I just about died." Not noticing where I was. I watched as he smirked and shook his head.
"Oh don't be so dramatic." He said brushing off his jumper as if it was dirty. I smirked and shook my head.
"That went smoothly." I nervously scratched the back of my head and Draco nodded, smiling nervously at me. We didn't want to get our hopes up too early.
"It'll be okay, Eurydice." He told me, taking my hand into his own. I nodded and smiled. The sun slowly setting in the sky. I took a second to look around, the familiar sound and smell bringing back a memory. As I looked around further, everything became so familiar as my gaze fell onto the bungalow.
"Oh my." I whispered, racing up to the door. Draco followed calmly behind me as I quietly entered the home I'd been living in since third year. Draco follower nervously behind me, I didn't let go of his hand and I stood at the bottom of the large staircase.
"Rise and Shine Weasleys, Granger and Potter!" I yelled loudly up to my family. I stood back over at the table as movement took over the house. The sound of two people bounding down stairs made me smile.
"Maggie!" Fred and George yelled, pulling me into a sandwiched hug, making me laugh uncontrollably.
"Oh I've missed you both so much." I hugged them tightly. The sound of Molly Weasley frantically making her way over to me made me tear up slightly, she pushed the boys away before looking at me, placing her hand on my face.
"Oh my poor child. I am so glad you are alright, we've been worried sick." She said and I just attacked her with a hug. She sniffles as she letter my hair, hugging me close to her.
"Oh come on, mum. She was my best friend before she was your daughter." Ron joked. Molly pulled away before finally gently pressing her palm to my face and stepping away.
"Oh Ronald, did you really miss me that much though?" I asked the red headed boy. He smiled and shook his head, opening his arms.
"Shut up you twat." He said, pulling me into the tightest hug. I smiled at the comfort and hugged him back even tighter. "I'm so glad you're okay." He whispered and smiled into the hug. When he pulled away, Ginny was already waiting.
"It doesn't feel the same anymore without you around." She told me, her voice held so much emotion. Tears finally fell down my face as they fell down hers and we pulled each other into a hug.
"I love you Ginny." I sobbed. She held me back tightly and sobbed into my shoulder.
"I love you too Maggie." She told me and we stood like that for a moment, composing ourselves, when she pulled away, Arthur Weasley looked at me with a gentle smile.
"It's nice to have my newspaper buddy back." He told me. In the mornings we'd usually read the news paper and then debate about the subjects in it. Everyone hated it but I loved it.
"It's good to be back." I told him, he pulled me in for a quick hug. I was so thankful to have two father figures in my life. When I pulled away, I could feel the nervous energy behind me as I turned to Draco who looked extremely lost.
"As you guys know, this is Draco." I said and Ron grumbled.
"Yes we know who it is." He said coldly and I rolled my eyes.
"Well, Draco got us out of the house." I gently touched his arm and he looked down at me with a small smile, it was warm but nervous. Molly looked up at her husband, gently smiling at him before stepping forward, making both Draco and I look at her.
"Well my dears, I'm sure you'll be starving. Why doesn't everyone go sit around the table and get re-acquainted and Ginny and I will get started on breakfast." She said leading Draco and I to the table, as I went to sit down the door to the bungalow slowly opened, making my ears tear up as Remus caught my gaze.
"Mags." He whispered and I ran to him, immediately falling into his arms. His hand gently stroked my hair as I cried into his chest. Draco stared at the interaction while everyone else minded their business, except Ron who tried not to show that he was tearing up himself. "I'm so glad you are safe, are you alright?" He asked pulling me back by my shoulders, I smiled at him and nodded.
"I'm okay, Draco got us out of the house." I told him. He looked over to the boy who was already looking at him, he smiled gently at him before looking back to me. "I'm so glad to see you, Moony. More than you know." I told him, he pulled me back into a hug, squeezing me tightly. I knew I was safe.
