I laughed loudly as Ron poked my sides while I jokingly tried to ignore him, it was Christmas day. I was tired, having spent most of the night awake with Remus, talking things out. I kept the letter from Draco as a bookmark, everytime i looked at it, I cursed myself for letting myself get any sort of feelings for him. But I pushed him to the back of my mind as I eyed up the new books that Tonks and Moony got me for Christmas, I hugged the jumper to my boy that Molly had knotted me and happily looked around at my family. The night was still young, but Tonks and Remus wanted to head home, which was understandable, you'd want to spend at least a little bit of Christmas alone with the one you love. I stood on my tiptoes as Remus kept me in a tight hug.
"I'm glad we got to talk about eve thing, I really do hate to see you so upset." Moony said as he pulled away, he wore a gentle smile and I sighed.
"You know how I am sometimes, but I'll be okay Remus. I promise." I assured him and he nodded.
"It was delicious, Molly. Really." Tonks smiles at Molly while squeezing my hand.
"You're sure you won't stay?" Molly asks for umpteenth time. I chuckle and roll my eyes while Remus smirk at me and Tonks chuckles.
"No, we should go." She leans closer to Molly to whisper to her. "The first night of the cycle is always the worst-" She trials off while gesturing to the moon. But suddenly, the hair on my neck stand up and both Remus and I gaze out onto the reeds in the garden, Mrs Weasley now staring at me.
"Oh." I whisper under my breath, earning the attention of Remus who looks back at me.
"Sweetheart..." Tonks directs towards Remus but he looks from me back out to the reeds again.
"There's someone out there. I can smell him. There's more than one-" Just as he finishes speaking, torches blaze in the reeds and my stomach sinks. Before I can even grab my wand, Harry's already running out of the house, Lupin chasing after him.
"Eurydice! No!" I hear Ron yell behind me, but I let my feet carry me. I race through the reeds, the sharp plants lashing back in my face. I run into something hard, knocking the air from me. I stumble back but point my wand through tears, but only see space. I feel like I'm running for ages until I come face to face with Bellatrix.
"Poorly little girl, so lost, did Draco break your little heart?" She pouted, she slowly made her way around me, letting her wand trace around my neck. "Why don't you give in, give in to the darkness, then you can have him." She whispers in my ear, but before I can even react. Remus bolts out into the area where were stood, Bellatrix laughs and walks backwards disappearing into think air.
"What are you doing! You should have stayed at the house!" He yelled at me, but I was just trying to regain my composure. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the Reeds. Everything felt like it was in slow motion, Remus was frantic, panicked. I could hear Fred and George, their voices the loudest. But it was when I was finally out of the Reeds that everything was back to normal. I stared up at the house, Remus staring with me. The damage had been done, now it was just burning. Tears welled in my eyes as I stared up at the chaos, the destruction those death eaters had caused. Remus held me in his arms as I crumbled to the ground, exhausted and defeated. Tonks watched us with tears in her eyes, the Weasleys held each other as they watched their home burn.

The train ride back to Hogwarts was deathly silent, the only sound was the train and that was all. I hadn't looked up from my hands since we left which was about an hour ago. No one knew what to say, no one knew what to do. I swallowed the lump in my throat before finally looking up, Harry was set next to me while Ron sat across from me, staring at me with annoyance in his gaze.
"This is your fault." He said and I looked at him in shock, Harry doing the same. Ron stared at me with anger in his gaze. "If you didn't get so cosy with bloody Malfoy, this wouldn't have happened. They always seem to spare you, I wonder why, huh?" Ron mumbled angrily and I stood up.
"They spare me because they want me to join them. My bloodline is from Slytherin descent, I half a Slytherin even if I don't want to be, Ron. I know you hate Draco, but I can't change what his parents have forced him into. Like I can't change the fact that my dad was from a long line of Slytherins." I spat, he stared at me in shock while Harry just continued to gaze down at the floor. I nodded and left the compartment, making my way out and down the corridor. When I was safely out of view from anyone, I leaned against the wall. Slowly sliding down it with tears in my eyes.
"Eurydice." Helios whispered from in front of me, he crouched down to my level. Worry on his face as he grabbed my hand, but I just pulled it away. I looked at him seriously.
"They'll kill me if I don't choose their side, they'll kill me." I sobbed and Helios just pulled me into a hug. Falling beside me as I he held the back of my head, stroking my hair as I sobbed into his chest. He knew better than anyone that both our lives were in danger. We both knew what sides we were on and we both knew we'd die fighting for them.
