The Christmas tree sat proudly in the corner of the Weasleys home. Draco stood laughing with Harry, the pair talking about how they'd both proposed. It had been 3 years since the battle of Hogwarts, I had taken the job as Defence against the dark arts teacher. McGonagall offered me the job after my last year, Neville was also the Herbology professor. I looked over to see Fred and George messing around with Fred's fake leg, I rolled my eyes. Hermione and Ron were talking to Molly and Arthur, updating them on what was going on in their lives. I sat on the couch, feeling happy to be surrounded by the people I loved most.

"Maggie Maggie!" Teddy yelled as he ran into the house, Remus and Tonks making their way in behind the boy who had his mother's hair.

"Teddy bear!" I yelled back with the same enthusiasm as the boy ran into my arms. He hugged me tightly and I hugged him back. "You sound like you've had a good day." I said as I pulled away, seeing Draco and Harry watching me from where they stood.

"Mumma and daddy told me loads of stories today! All about Padfoot, Prongs, Vixie." He told me and my heart warmed as I heard my fathers nickname. I smiled and looked at Remus who smiled down at me.

"Well you're lucky to here such stories!" I told him, he looked up at me with wide eyes and I smiled down at him. Harry cleared just throat beside me and I rolled my eyes as Teddy turned quickly.

"Harry!" Teddy yelled as he ran over, hugging Harry who laughed at me. He bent down and picked up the child and I looked at Remus who nodded towards the door. I smiled and nodded. Tonks walked over to Draco and Harry, talking to them both about their day as I followed Remus outside. Remus and I made our way outside and I grabbed my jacket as I closed the door, holding it tightly around me as I blocked out the cold.

"How have you been feeling?" He asked me as soon as I got outside. I looked at him, sighing slightly. A few months back, I had a very dark episode, loads of memories coming back again.

"Remus, I'm okay now. I promise. Draco helped a lot, he made sure I was alright, he still does." I told him and he nodded. "You know, I still find it kind of crazy, the Hufflepuff who accidentally fell in love with the Slytherin boy who was already in love with her. It could be a book." I joked and Remus laughed, shaking his head. "We're having a cottage built on the ground of the castle, best Hagrid's, with me working every day and Draco going to and from work through the floor network. It'll help make things easier." I explained and Remus looked at me.

"Ah is that what you want to call it, keeping things easier? I think it's more of a 'you can't stand being away from the school' thing." He said with a raised eyebrow. I sighed in defeat.

"Well... yes." I answered, he smiled down at me and I rolled my eyes. We wandered around the house, kicking the snow and just enjoying each other's company.

"Your mother and father would be so proud of you, Eurydice. So very proud of you." Remus said suddenly, stopping me as we managed to make our way around to the front of the Weasleys home again. I looked at Remus, a glimmer of something in his eyes. He felt in his pocket for a moment, pulling out a letter and a very small envelope. "Your father gave me this when you were born, he told me to give it to you when I knew you were ready to read it. He knew he was going to die, your mother also, they couldn't stop it." He told me and I blinked slowly, nodding with a sad smile. He passed me the letter and the envelope and I tucked them in my jacket pocket.

"Come one, we should head back in. Teddy will be wondering where we are." I said with a laugh. Remus smiled and opened the door for me. We both walked in and I hung my jacket back up.

"Ah you two, just back in time." Molly said as she handed us both a glass of bourbon. "Now, who would like to make a toast?" Molly asked around the room and Draco stood forward, looking around the room.

"I'd like to Molly if that would be alright." He said, asking for permission, she looked at him with a large smile and nodded, laying a hand on her husbands shoulder as we all turned our attention to Draco. "Over these past years, I realised what I missed out at Hogwarts, the feeling of friendship, trust... love." He said turning to me, I smiled and nodded for him to go on. "In these few years that I'd been given the opportunity to redeem myself, to build relationships I never got. So from myself, I'd like to thank everyone in this room. Especially the Weasleys, who even before the war, opened their home to me. I'd like to raise a toast to love and life." Draco held up his glass and I smiled and held up my glass. He leaned over, placing a kiss to my cheek.

Draco and I left later on in the night, full of Christmas spirit and a bit to much whiskey. When we got home, we made our way to our room, both getting comfy. That was when I remembered the letter and the envelope. I reached over to grab my jacket, pulling the letter from the pocket and holding the envelope in my hands.

"What's this?" Draco asked picking up the letter, examining the handwriting.

"It's from my parents." I told him and he looked at me quickly, confusion on his face. "They gave it to Remus before they passed, so he could give it to me when he thought I was ready." I told him and he nodded. I got comfy and laid my head on his shoulder. "Can you read it?" I asked and he nodded again, pressing a kiss to the top of my head as he unfolded the letter to reveal the handwriting of my father.

"Dear my sweet child,
I don't know how old you will be when you read this, I presume after you've turned 18. I do hope, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter are keeping you on your toes. Helios will have gotten a letter similar to this one. Your mother and I wished we could have been there through these years, to be by your side, to keep you safe, watch you grow. I know you'll be in good care with James and Lilly, both Helios and yourself. Sadly, due to the decisions I made on my own, I angered a lot of people I shouldn't have, meaning I'll have to face that fact at some point. Your mother is currently staring down at your in your crib as she holds Helios, you are both as perfect as ever. I won't go on in this letter, I'd probably bored you by now, Sirius is laughing as he reads this over my shoulder. But I want you to know, that your mother and I will always love you, with everything we have. You and your brother are the biggest loves of our lives. We will be with you through every step of your life, every up, every down. No one is ever really gone. Now my dear child, I hope you are well and I hope you are loved.

All the love in the world
Your mother and father."

I stared at the letter with tears in my eyes as Draco finished reading, I opened the envelope, pulling out the photo that was tucked in it. I sat up, staring down at the photo. It was my mother and father and Helios and I.

"This is the only photo I have of us." I whispered and Draco stared down at the photo. I smiled and placed the letter and photo by my bed, keeping it in my line of site. "Mum and dad will know about Sirius, James and Lilly. I bet whenever they are right now, they'll be reminiscing." I told Draco and he smiled and placed a kiss to the side of my head.

"I bet they are." He assured me, I got comfy. Laying my head on Draco's chest as he ran his fingers through my hair. "I love you, Eurydice. Always." He whispered and I looked up at him, smiling as I leaned up and pecked him on the nose. Oscar settled in between us, resting his head on Draco's leg.

"I love you too, Draco. Always." He leaned forward and placed a long kiss to my forehead. When he pulled away, I rested my head back on his chest. Slowly, we both fell asleep, dreaming happy dreams for the first time in a long time.
