I was still standing there but The announcer's announcement "And now, BTS" snapped me back into reality.
I ran towards the hall and by the time I reached the hall was very crowded, I couldn't go back to my seat neither could I see Lisa or any of the other two. So I just decided to stand there. The performance was about to start and the huge rounds of applauses could actually make you deaf.
The light focuses on a single guy in the start. Girls were already drooling over Taehyung's visual. The "That's the new boy" whispers filled the room. He started off the song, impressive I thought.
They were done with their performances. Jimin, JK, Jin had awesome vocals. Suga, RM & J-Hope are so good rappers. But Taehyung's husky, deep voice really did some sort of magic, also his visuals were perfection. It was so embarrassing for me to even doubt his skills.
"Hey guys! You were amazing" Lisa said.
Rosé & Jisoo- "yass truly"
We all were talking before the result announcement.
"I loved your stunned face when you heard me sing" Taehyung said after appearing from somewhere behind me.
"Yeah I mean you were pretty good" I said.
"Woh Thanks! Maybe we'll make a good duo"
"What?"
"A singing duo" He smirked "What did you think?"
"huh... Not happening" I replied smugly.
"Now let's take a seat"
"No thanks, I'll go sit with the girls"
"They're about to announce the results, don't be so egoistic. C'mon sit here" He said, tapping on a seat beside him.
I went to sit beside him and warned him not to call me egoistic to which he said,
"Aww... You get offended so easily. Just like a little girl"
"Please shut up now" I said and focused on the stage.
After a long thank you speech by the old principal and Taehyung's annoying jokes, it was finally time for the results.
"So, the winner of today's competition for boys category is-"
"BTS"
Wow. They totally deserve it. Applause and whistles, most by the girls, filled the room. The boys went to collect their awards and a smirk just didn't leave Taehyung's face. The runner up went to EXO.
The girls joined me a little later.
"Unnie it's time..." Lisa said nervously.
"Now, the winner for the girls category goes to - Hmm... A very close competition - "
We all were so nervous, we all clasped each others' hands, eyes closed praying to god. Everything around me went on mute, the only thing I could hear was my own fast rate heartbeat in my ears. When,
"TWICE!"
And then the announcer's announcement brought us back. I looked at the girls, they were not upset but a little disappointed. We worked so hard for this. But I it is what it is.
"And the runner up goes to-"
Maybe we'll get a runner up at least, I thought.
" TWICE! " The announcer said.
"Has she gone nuts?" Lisa said.
"Seems like she's a fan of TWICE, giving every award to them" Jisoo said.
We all laughed it off.
" I'm truly sorry everyone, Seems like I have done a mistake. So the runner up goes to Twice Congratulations girls!"
" Does that mean we have a chance?" Rosé said anxiously.
"And the actual winner for the girls category is Blackpink! I'm sorry for the inconvenience girls & Hearty Congratulations to all of you"
