Cassidy spent the first two periods in the economics class which she found very boring because the whole lesson was just filled with theory with no sums to do.

At the end of the lesson, Cassidy felt someone hitting on her chair at the back. So, Cassidy turned around to see who kept on kicking at her chair and kept on disturbing her.

“Sorry, Cass. I was just wondering whether you want to go to the library with me.” asked the person seated behind Cassidy.

“You mean during the interval?” asked Cassidy.

“Yes. Well, if you want we can pick up something to eat.” replied the person.

“Ah, no. I don't mind skipping a meal.” replied Cassidy.

“Are you dieting?” asked the guy seated behind her.

“Of course not.” replied Cassidy and smiled at him.

Just then the bell rang, signalling everyone that the interval period has started.

“Then let's hit the library straight away.” replied the guy.

“Sure thing. But can we head to the lockers first? I want to pick up something.” replied Cassidy.

“All right then. Locker first and then the library.” replied the guy.

Cassidy kept her books inside the locker and picked up the books on the remaining subjects before the next interval. Then she closed her locker and locked it safely. And started to head towards the library.

“You're sure right?” asked the guy.

“Sure about what?” questioned Cassidy.

“You know, about skipping meals.” replied the guy.

“Of course, silly.” replied Cassidy.

“Oh, so I'm silly?” asked the guy.

“Of course not. I didn't mean it.” replied Cassidy. “Sorry.”

“Ah, it's okay. So what exactly do you think about me?” asked the guy.

“I think you will be a good friend of mine. But of course people can't judge like that.” replied George.

“What do you mean by people can't judge like that?” questioned Luke curiously.

“You never know what the person is like from inside.” replied Cassidy.

“Okay. Why did you say that?” asked Luke.

“You know, there are bad people who pretend to be nice. You know, drama kings and queens.” replied Cassidy.

“But I'm a good guy.” said Luke with a puppy dog face.

“I didn't say that you are bad. I just said in general.” replied Cassidy.

“So, what exactly do you have to say in general?” asked Luke.

“You know, there are people like iron with a gold coat with lustre just to pretend that they are actually gold.” replied Cassidy.

“Looks like Guy has put lot of Literature in your hands.” replied Luke and winked at Cassidy.

“What? I always loved Literature. In my previous school, they used to call me a bookworm and geek.” replied Cassidy.

“Wow! So no wonder you could get along with Guy. Its' the first time that a girl got along with him.” replied Luke.

“You know him?” questioned Cassidy curiously.

“Yeah, he used to be a friend of mine. A nice guy though.” replied Luke staring at the ground.

“Aren't you'll friends now?” questioned Cassidy curiously.

“Not anymore.” replied Luke.

“Why not?” inquired Cassidy curiously.

“It's a long story. Here we are.” said Luke.

Cassidy and Luke kept their bags on the table and went to search for a book to read. First Cassidy went to the literature section, but then as she couldn't find a novel to read she went to the crime fiction section to look for a book.

“Why are you going through a programming book?” questioned Cassidy after peeping into the book Luke was reading.

“It's the next lesson we have. We might start it today itself.” replied Luke.

“So what if we do programming? But why are you going through it now itself?” asked Cassidy curiously.

“Because we might get an assessment based on it.” replied Luke shortly.

“So, what if we did? Sure, sir, will teach us everything. Right?” asked Cassidy rhetorically.

“Yes, but I want to have a perfect one. You know, THE BEST ONE.” replied Luke.

“Why? Are you planning to go in the IT field? I guess you can earn money a lot.” said Cassidy.

“Yeah, you do. I want to be a software engineer. Or maybe just a designer.” replied Luke keeping the book on the table and gazing straight into Cassidy's eyes.

“Wow! That's good for you. Hope your dreams come true.” replied Cassidy and continued to read her book.

After half an hour, the bell rang indicating that the interval is over.

“Cass, let's go.” said Luke, laying his hand on Cassidy's shoulder.

“Why? Did the bell ring already?” asked Cassidy looking up from the book.

“Yup. Two minutes ago, actually.” replied Luke.

Cassidy went to keep the book back in the bookshelf while Luke took both their bags and got ready to go.

“Computer Literacy class now.” said Luke to Cassidy while handing over her bag.

“How do you know?” asked Cassidy curiously.

“Because even though you didn't see me in class, I saw you.” replied Luke.

“How come? Where were you seated?” asked Cassidy curiously.

“I was sitting beside Rosie at the far end of the computer lab.” replied Luke.

“No wonder that I didn't see you. I had to sit next to a jerk and put up with him.” replied Cassidy, sounding a bit angry.

“I saw that. He kept on disturbing you, didn't he?” said Luke.

“You were spying on me?” asked Cassidy curiously.

“Here we are! The computer lab. By the way, this is for you.” replied Luke and gave Cassidy an envelope.

Luke opened the door and allowed Cassidy to enter the computer lab first like a gentleman.

So Luke was right. We are going to start programming. Wonder what is inside the envelope. Thought Cassidy while she was learning.
