"Don't you watch movies? You know, teen ones?" asked Gerald while wondering how to tell her what the tradition is.
"I have watched a few movies. Why?" inquired Cassidy wondering what movies go with the line of tradition.
"What are the movies you have watched? Have you watched any romance ones?" questioned Gerald.
"Yup. I have watched. But they have only kissing parts after the prom." replied Cassidy.
"Then, what about the books you read for literature back in your old school?" asked Gerald curious to know how much Cassidy knows about things.
"They have only kissing and marrying or killing parts. Or something like Wuthering Heights. Have you read Anne of Green Gables? It is a series written by L. M. Montgomery," dreamily asked Cassidy while picturing the flashbacks of images which drew in her mind while reading the book.
"It's a stupid girl's book. Why would I want to read that crap? I'm pretty sure that it's pretty darn boring." replied Gerald.
"No, of course not. It's not at all boring. It's actually better than Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice and all we read in literature. It's actually a good, romance novel. I enjoyed reading it. You should try reading it," said Cassidy, hoping that he would stop insulting one of her favourite books to read like that.
"Then, I'm sure that it's not a dark romance or erotica. They are just so good. They always make me feel good. Do you know how much entertaining it is?" interrogated Gerald feeling the sudden change in his muscles.
"I'm not a fan of those. But I don't mind reading vampire stories. It's just kind of okay. Anyway, so what does this have to do with the tradition?" asked Cassidy inquisitively as she was eager to find out what the tradition is about.
"Do you know what generally happens in those erotica?" questioned Gerald hoping that he doesn't have to explain what happens in those novels or short stories.
"Kind of. We learnt about genre in my previous school. So, while doing an assignment on a genre I came across it." replied Cassidy.
"Well, the tradition is to play one of the scene." indirectly mentioned Gerald so that Cassidy won't freak out. But, he hoped that she would understand what he was indirectly trying to tell her.
"You mean we have to act on stage? EW! No way. Why would principal allow it, anyway? In our previous school kissing in school premises was prohibited," mentioned Cassidy wishing she could go through the time machine and live through the good old days.
"It's just a private act between two of us, silly girl. Have you ever had a boyfriend?" inquired Gerald guessing that the answer will be no.
"Nope. But I had guys as friends. They were so nice people with good personality. And they never speak any scurrilous language. Or anything bad as in subject wise," replied Cassidy.
"Didn't anyone asked you out at least?" inquired Gerald.
"Well, now they have. I mean some have. But I didn't want to go out with them. I hated their personality to be honest," replied Cassidy.
"So, I was the first guy you ever said yes to. I'm so lucky I guess." said Gerald happily while laughing inside his head.
"Said yes to what?" inquired Cassidy clueless about what Gerald is talking about.
"I asked you out, remember?" questioned Gerald from Cassidy.
"When did you asked me out? I just don't want to have a boyfriend. I want to be a free bird." replied Cassidy.
"What the hell is this? Then why did you say yes? Now, you must have it with me." said Gerald in a very serious tone which sounded as if he is filled with anger.
"Who do you think you are, anyway? You are not my mother to give me orders to me. I'm going on." said Cassidy and opened the door.
Cassidy felt a hand grabbing hold of her tightly and pulling her inside the car. The door slammed shut emitting a loud noise.
"You thought you can get rid of me? I guess you don't know me at all." said Gerald in a very angry harsh tone.
Within one minute things turned upside down. Cassidy felt a knife slide in tearing the front of her dress. She tried to protest physically and verbally by screaming out loud for help. She felt helpless and tired after beating Gerald continuously which he ignored. But, she never gave up even though Gerald did not respond to her actions. She continued to struggle while crying out loud. Her voice filled the air, turning the silent environment into a polluted environment.
"No one ever gets to go without giving me what I want. REMEMBER THAT!" yelled Gewrald at her and slapped her face hard.
Gerald got so happy and pleased from the pleasure he forcefully received from her body and by giving her pain. He laughed at her facial expressions and mocked her. Every tear drop brought him happiness and he felt like a hero.
A dog barked from the distance interrupting their moment. It was an alert that someone else is also in the jungle. Gerald let go of Cassidy in shock as he didn't expect anyone to be in the forest in the middle of the night.
Cassidy took advantage of the moment and quickly opened the door and slide out. She clutched the remaining parts of her dress and started to run for her life ignoring the pain she received from every move she made.
"Did you think you could get away from me? Don't worry, no one will get to know what happened. And I never loved you, but only your body. That's why I've always loved you. Good luck!" screamed Gerald after stepping out of the car.
"BANG!" a loud sound filled the air and the sound of a car engine.
Cassidy felt her dropping to the ground. She laid in a puddle of blood, pleading death to go away while clutching the area where blood spurt out from the wound created by the bullet of Gerald's gun.
