“Hey honey!” whispered Gerald during the Biology period to Cassidy's ear.
“Hey!” said Cassidy, looking at his eyes.
“Wanna go out tomorrow?” asked Gerald, tangling his arm to hers.
“You mean a date?” asked Cassidy curiously.
“Yeah! Where do you want to go?” asked Gerald.
“I honestly don't know. Greg won't let me go anywhere.” replied Cassidy scared that she might get caught.
“Just lie to Greg and come. He won't find out.” replied Gerald.
“He always knows stuff about me even though I have not said a single word.” replied Cassidy.
“Maybe your mother told him.” replied Gerald.
“I highly doubt that's true. Besides, sometimes even mum doesn't know.” replied Cassidy.
“Has he planted a bug on you?” asked Gerald, laughing quietly so that no one in the lab can hear.
“Not funny, Gerald.” replied Cassidy and hit his shoulder playfully.
“Good morning class. Sorry for the delay.” said the Biology teacher, disturbing everyone's conversations.
Everyone in the class settled down in their respective places without making any noise. In the meantime, the Biology teacher was flipping pages of his set of notes.
“Let's start studying about worms.” said the Biology teacher, knowing that it is considered as a 'gross' topic.
Time flu without even Cassidy's knowledge and it was time to go home. Cassidy took her usual method of transportation.
“Hey Cass!” said a guy, stopping his car while she was walking.
“Hi there!” said Cassidy, smiling at the guy.
“Get in. I will drop you home.” said the guy and opened the door for her without even stepping outside the car.
“So, where do you live?” asked Cassidy after getting into the car.
“You could say away from school.” said the guy smiling at her.
“Why? Is it so private and confidential?” asked Cassidy, teasingly.
“Cause not.” said the guy and smiled at her.
With Cassidy's directions, they reached Cassidy's place within the next ten minutes as he drew the car in a medium speed even though no vehicles go in that road.
“Who's this?” asked a voice startling Cassidy after she got down from the car.
What? He is at home now? What the hell is he doing here at this time of the day. Thought Cassidy surprised to see Greg at home.
Cassidy opened her mouth and found out that she couldn't locate her tongue to speak and felt her mouth has dried up.
“I'm Jason Guy, sir.” said Guy after noticing Cassidy looking at Greg in shock.
“So... It must be with you she went to do that assessment. When is it? On Saturday, right?” said Greg ,coming out to the open area.
“No, that was someone else.” said Cassidy finally, finding her tongue.
“Okay. Nice for you to bring your friend, HOME.” said Greg sounding a bit wicked.
Cassidy and Greg turned to look at themselves and exchanged glances while both of them were full of shock.
“Oh! Umm... I was just dropping her off.” said Guy, trying to fight for Cassidy.
“Really?” said Greg, crossing his arms across his chest.
“You see, sir.” said Guy and decided to explain what really happened. “I saw Cassidy walking back home and I offered a lift.”
Greg studied Guy's facial expressions for a while and said “Okay. If you can spend sometime they why don't you come in.”
“I was actually about to go back home.” replied Guy while wondering what Greg is up to.
“If you don't need to rush back home, I insist for you to stay.” said Greg, opening the front door.
Should I go home, or should I stay? Maybe I'll stay here. After all, he can't hurt me. And he won't be able to torment Cassidy if I stay. Thought Guy.
“Maybe I'll stay if you don't mind, sir.” said Guy.
“Sure, come on in.” said Greg and went inside.
Guy went to pick up his bag from his car and then locked the car. He then followed Cassidy in.
Cassidy straight away went to her room and kept her bag on the stool beside her table.
“Do you eat?” asked Cassidy turning to face Guy.
“Well, I can if I want to.” replied Guy and smiled at her showing his pearl teeth.
“Wow! Do VAMPIRES eat?” asked Cassidy surprised after reading all the information written down in fantasy books.
“No, they can't.” replied Guy.
“Then you said you can eat if you want to.” replied Cassidy surprised and confused.
Vampires can't eat and they feed on blood. I'm hundred percent sure that it wasn't a dream. I did see him drinking blood out of the deer. There was blood in his cheek as well. So how can he eat? Thought Cassidy unable to decide who Guy really is.
“Are you really a vampire? I thought you are one.” said Cassidy finally, making up her mind to ask him.
“No, I'm afraid not. I'm sorry if I told you so.” replied Guy.
“Then what are you?” asked Cassidy curiously.
