Friday night Cassidy received text messages in a row when she switched on her mobile phone. When she checked the ID's of the senders she noticed that it was from Gerald, Guy and Luke. She opened them one by one and read each.
Luke: Why didn't you come to school these days? Are you sick or something?
Gerald: Are you coming to prom?
Guy: Are you having fever? I've missed you so much.
Cassidy looked down and thought for a minute. She was unable to decide who to reply first.
Man, this people can't even leave me alone for one day. I feel so sorry for Luke and Guy though. They sound very genuine. Hope nothing bad is going to happen in school today. Thought Cassidy while staring at her mobile phone screen.
Cassidy logged into her laptop so that she could Instant Message Luke and Guy using Internet Chat Relay facilities. Fortunately, she did not have to drop a message to Luke asking him to log in since he has already logged in.
Luke: Hi! Your back
Cassidy: Hi!
Luke: I missed you!!!
Cassidy: Any particular reason
Luke: No one to talk to...
Cassidy: Why? Your darling
Luke: What darling?
Cassidy: So you have more than one then. OH MY GOD
Luke: Seriously Cassidy?
Cassidy: What?
Luke: I don't have lovers, okay?
Cassidy: Why Rosie!!!
Luke: Seriously Cass?
She is such a pain. She was following me everywhere.
Cassidy: So that's great!
Luke: How come???
Cassidy: Someone has a crush on you
Luke: Very funny. She must be up to something.
Cassidy: Why do you say so?
Luke: I know something is wrong.
Cassidy: Like what???
Luke: Got to go. Gerald has just come home...
Bye. Good night. Take care.
Cassidy: Bye. Good luck!!!
Luke: Thanks.
Cassidy sighed after Luke signed out from Instant Message. She was killed with boredom.
Why can't Greg let me at least take a walk in the garden? I'm well enough to go out for a walk to go some fresh air. Stupid fever! I could have at least gone near the pond and rest there. Thought Cassidy.
Cassidy's rain of thoughts got interrupted abruptly when she heard a noise emitting from her computer. It was a noise to indicate that she has got an Instant Message. She looked at the computer screen to see from whom she has received it.
Guy: Hi Cass!!!
Cassidy: Hi Guy!
Guy: I missed you!!! Did you get my text message?
Cassidy: Yes. I was about to reply...
Guy: Are you okay?
Cassidy: Yes! Why?
Guy: You didn't come to school Why?
Cassidy: I was sick
Guy: Fever?
