"Don't tell me it's real, Gerald," said Cassidy panicking a bit.
"Of course not, sweetheart. It's a toy. But it sometimes comes in handy," replied back Gerald.
""Now, why are we still here? I mean I told you what you wanted to know. Am I correct?" questioned Cassidy as she suddenly felt uncomfortable.
"Oh, darling! Don't you like to spend time talking to me or even do something fun?" inquired Gerald while smiling at her.
"So, what else do you want to know?" asked Cassidy wishing that she could go home and lock herself in her bedroom.
"What's your favourite subject?" asked Gerald while closing the velvet case gently.
"Literature I guess. I love writing stuff and reading." replied back Cassidy.
"What kind of books do you like to read?" inquired Gerald.
"What do you mean by that? You mean genre or by authors. Or what?" questioned Cassidy.
This place is so romantic, but he is killing it. How can a guy be so boring? I mean, we are literally parked in the middle of the forest and there is a moon above us with silver lined clouds. If Luke or Guy was here, then they would have at least crack a joke. Thought Cassidy and sighed.
"What do you like? Do you like Romance or mystery or what?" asked Gerald ignoring the question Cassidy asked from him.
"I think I prefer mystery over romance. You know, there is a climax and all. And the detectives are like super brainy." replied Cassidy and smiled at him.
"They are not brainy. They are the dumbest people on earth. Who would want to be a detective, anyway?" said Gerald not approving Cassidy's statement of opinion.
"I don't think so. If they are dumb, then how come they solve the case?" inquired Cassidy laughing inside her head.
"Maybe because of sheer luck," responded Gerald and smirked at her.
"How can you say that it's just because of luck? It's NOT always because of luck. It's because they have a really good functioning brain," argued Cassidy feeling furious.
"You think so? You have no proof anyway. I say that they are brainless creatures. Who wants to be detectives anyway?" rhetorically asked Gerald looking at the front.
"People who are alert and think logically ad out things in chronological order can be a good detective. I know that for sure. I can guarantee it," answered Cassidy.
"Why don't you try to become a detective then?" growled Gerald.
"I like to become one. But it is too dangerous. So I thought of doing something else. Besides I could just read all the detective books and imagine that I'm a detective who is solving the case and bring justice upon the murdered soul," pointed out Cassidy how much she loved the field indirectly.
"That person is dead and gone anyway. Why not trying to do something fruitful using the assets," said Gerald with a smile in his face.
"Seriously? How dare you think something like that? It's not what we earn. They earned it by shedding their sweat and combining it to the earth as a memorial event in their life. Just imagine someone wasting those money? I feel like killing those ruthless people. How selfish of them?" said Cassidy while clutching her hand tightly.
"But they can be using it for a good cause. You know, something to remember them." said Gerald calmly.
"But there will be a WILL of the dead soul. Shouldn't you do things accordingly?" questioned Cassidy curious to find out what Gerald knows and to which extent.
"Not always ,dear." replied Gerald and smiled sweetly.
Gerald adjusted himself by placing is hand around her shoulder and tugging her closer to him.
"But I thought according to the law you take care of the money according to the instructions provided in their last will. Or at least that's what books say," replied Cassidy and shrugged her shoulder to remove any thoughts that pop into her head.
"It actually depends upon the lawyer, babe. Besides, if there is no will then you can do anything to the rich." replied Gerald back.
"But then shouldn't the lawyer's license be revoked if he act against the law? They have to follow and act according to the instructions provided in the last will." said Cassidy thinking deeply.
"I guess they don't get caught, dear. But if they DO get caught it will be cancelled. Unless you bribe the CJ." said Gerald while literally whispering the last line while looking out of the window.
Silence dawned for a few minutes. Gerald stared out of the window while Cassidy looked at the opposite rear window. Cassidy observed all the facial expressions and noticed Gerald's black stormy eyes which suggested that his mind has drifted far away.
"How do you know so much? Is your father a lawyer?" inquired Cassidy by breaking the silence and voicing her thoughts.
"My mother was a lawyer." answered Gerald in a low voice.
"Oh! So, you want to be a lawyer too? I heard lawyers in this area earn loads of money. Could say tons," said Cassidy eager to find out how he has gathered so much of information about the field.
"Well, there are many other jobs you can do and earn money more than a lawyer here." answered Gerald not satisfying Cassidy's hunger.
"You mean like a doctor?" questioned Cassidy out of curiosity.
"Actually, no. Don't be so inquisitive babe. You know what happens when you poke finger to the fire or to a hot boiling water?" rhetorically asked Gerald with one eyebrow raised up.
"Oh, come on! Can't a person be curious about something? Don't you know it's good to be curious? Poor you!" exclaimed Cassidy at the end.
"But too much is bad, dear." replied Gerald smiling at Cassidy.
"Whatever Mr. Know It All," said Cassidy while rolling her eyes.
"So, how was the prom? You enjoyed it?" asked Gerald, changing the subject when he felt that the topic is not favourable to his side.
"It was okay. Not bad." replied Cassidy and sighed.
"You know, being Prom King and Queen is a big thing." mentioned Gerald trying to get to a point but got interrupted.
"I guess so. Why vote?" questioned Cassidy hoping that Gerald knows the answer since he was in the committee.
"It's a tradition and it's followed in every school. There is another tradition which happens after prom as well. It's just something to do between the prom king and queen." said Gerald.
"What is it?" inquired Cassidy inquisitively.
