“Hey babes.” said a sexy voice which sent electric shocks inside Cassidy's spinal cord in a good way.

Cassidy turned around after recognizing the voice and said “Oh hey, Gerald.”

“Wanna know what I have planned for you today?” asked Gerald still leaning against the locker beside Cassidy's. “Oh maybe I'll keep that as a surprise, baby.”

“Seriously, stop calling me BABY. It's getting into my nerves.” replied Cassidy and shut the locker door with a loud bang which made everyone around them to look at them.

“Come on, Cassidy. You promised me that you will go to the PROM with me.” said Gerald out loud so that everyone around in that area could hear it.

All the people in the locker area shook their heads and went on with their own conversations and acts. In the meantime Cassidy walked to the library with full of disappointment.

In the library she found herself engaged in studying the poems which brought out the sad feelings of those poets who express their feelings towards a woman or a man. Her anger slowly slipped away like a kid without her knowledge.

“Cass... Cass...” Cassidy heard someone whispering while shaking her shoulder.

Cassidy looked up from the book curious to find out who had the guts to disturb her. After all, if a person knows her properly, then they definitely know it's best not to disturb her when she is engrossed in doing something. Especially when it comes to reading.

“I'm extremely sorry to disturb you, but the bell rang.” said Luke while piling up the books which are scattered on the table into one stack.

“What bell?” asked Cassidy confused as she has drifted away, far away from school to a different location by travelling using her mind as the portal.

“We'll be getting late for class...” said Luke and carried the piled set of books to the bookcase to put them back in the proper place where they are supposed to be.

“Class?” asked Cassidy confused. Then she looked around and said “Oh right. Class!”

Cassidy and Luke quickly placed the books in the proper place. Then they hurried back to their destination.

“You better be careful when you go to your own little world.” said Luke while opening the door to enter the class.

“What does that suppose to mean?” asked Cassidy in a low voice which was close to a whisper.

The class lessons was very boring, but Cassidy knew that she has no choice but to listen. She did not want to disturb Luke to even talk by writing down on in a piece of paper as he was absorbed into the lesson.

“Hey! Do you want to his the library, now?” asked Luke after the period was over.

“But I have Statistics now.” replied Cassidy objecting and refusing Luke's proposal.

“Come on! Your Statistics teacher won't be coming due to paternity leave.” replied Luke and smiled at her almost showing her all his teeth.

“But then there must be a substitute teacher for sure.” said Cassidy unable to decide what to do.

“For now, no. They are searching for one still.” replied Luke.

Cassidy looked at the ground and thought for a while as she was unable to make a quick decision.

“All right. If you say so!” replied Cassidy finally approving, but suspect filled in her voice.

“If you don't believe, then we could just go and check.” said Luke and took the route to the library which goes passing the Statistics class.

After Cassidy double check about the absence of their Statistics teacher, she went to the library with Luke. She placed her belongings on her usual place and searched for a book to read.

“Why don't you search stuff for your English Literature project?” asked Luke after lifting the book, Cassidy was holding up a bit, so that he could read the title.

“How do you know about that?” asked Cassidy surprised as neither Luke nor Gerald nor Rosie is doing English Literature.

“Jason told me about the project.” replied Luke in a manner which you say a cool way according to modern teenagers; language.

“Guy told you?” asked Cassidy by racing her eye brow while giving him the question look.

“Yeah! Why?” asked Luke unable to figure out why Cassidy is surprised to hear about it.

“I thought you and Guy are not speaking anymore. You know, because of Gerald.” said Cassidy while placing the book on the table and laying her hands over it.

“OH MY GOD!!! Thanks for reminding me. Please don't tell anyone.” said Luke with his face filled with fear.

“Of course. I won't tell anyone except someone.” replied Cassidy, giving an assuring smile at him.

“WHO? I told you NOT to tell anyone.” replied Luke sounding dead scared.

“This person called Guy.” replied Cassidy and gave a teasing smile at him.

“Seriously! You gave me a heart attack.” said Luke sounding relieved.

“Why are you dead scared of Gerald anyway?” asked Cassidy.

“You don't know about him. He is not the person you think he is.” replied Luke and looked back at the book.

“Why are you saying that? He IS a nice person.” replied Cassidy not approving.

“This Saturday you might find out. Just be careful.” replied Luke.

“Why this Saturday?” asked Cassidy curiously.

“Prom day, silly.” replied Luke.

“Oh yeah! I forgot. But what's so special about that day? Blue moon rising?” asked Cassidy.

“Why blue moon out of nowhere?” asked Luke shaking his head.

“Just told what popped out in my head.” replied Cassidy trying to justify her words.

“Okay! Well, the answer is no.” replied Luke and gave a smile which bore a mix of emotions which was hard for Cassidy to decipher.

“Then what is it?” asked Cassidy curiously and eager to find out the answer.

“You might get the answer on the prom day. Just wait and see. And by the way, don't go home alone.” replied Luke.

“Why are you saying all these stuff?” asked Cassidy puzzled about the sudden turn out in their conversation.

Luke did not reply, but continued to read his book. Cassidy waited for a while hoping that she will get an answer, but figured out later that she will not get one.
