Chapter Twenty-Six
Tired

Guilt dawned on my conscience after denying the ride and it resulted that way.

Quiet but uncomfortable tension ruled the table. She always eat breakfast in the bed. Sina Lola Hilda at Lolo Edward naman, nalaman kong nasa Singapore pala.

They caught a flight last night. I was only informed they'll attend an important gathering.

She's intimidating right now.

I've been standing for quite a few moments, bothered about Chloe.

I sighed and sat beside him.

"Why would she?"

"Because I ruined her day yesterday?"

"Bakit parang ayaw akong kausapin?" nag-aalala kong tanong.

I haven't asked Won. He remained occupied; I can't even talk to him. Besides, nandiyan si Chloe. Paano kung isipin niyang may pinapanigan ako?

A soft groan escaped my lips.

Maybe, I just have to talk to Chloe later.

Jayden read me some articles and I tried to listen and digest. But whenever he reads, I'd look at him and would end up staring at his face for the whole damn time until I'm lost; until I wasn't able to catch what he was saying.

"You're not listening," he said with a hint of frown.

I blinked. "I am."

"Really? What's negligence?"

My lips parted. "Carelessness?"

Jayden gave me a glare. I pouted in response. You know sometimes I don't really know if we're dating or not!

"Ano ulit 'yon?" I asked.

I wasn't able to catch what he said earlier. I plead myself guilty. I tried to be serious so we can at least finish one chapter.
