I'm not supposed to imagine how my life would be if you had a leading role in it, I've got to stop envisaging a future where you're all mine when I know your heart's in someone else's hands, I know a certain person has built a mansion with high defenses in your heart and my love is not strong enough to take down the ordnance planted firmly around you. However, my mind often wanders on its own, opening up parts of my feelings that I was never taught how to control- emotions so tempting they make me tear myself apart.
I try hiding the sensations that take over me when we're in the same room in hopes of maintaining whatever it is we share right now, is it friendship? or do you just pity me and keep me around? at this point, your answer doesn't matter- I'm too lovesick to care.
You can keep spoiling your current love, I'll watch from the sidelines accepting that my chance is long gone, that the ship has sailed and I'm stranded on an island with a broken heart and salty tears. As long as you're happy, I'm okay.
