My father always has a picture of his mother in his wallet, I look at that with a more poetic look, I see that he appreciates this woman more than anyone else, I see that even if she's gone he will honor her memory and keep her lovely spirit alive, take her to the fanciest places and show her the finer things in life.He keeps a photograph.
Photographs go deeper than showing off your outfit or bragging about where you went over the summer. Each picture, even the silly ones, have a memory behind them. A significance that pushed one to hold them close, admire them whenever the times get rough.
They're a reminder of the people who make growing up easier, the friends we cherish, the family we love.
The next time you see a memory in the making don't be afraid to snap a picture, so you can always look back at it and see just how much happiness could exist in one place with the right people at the right timing.
You never know when it'll be your last chance to see the beaming smiles of those you adore. However, the memories you made along the way will keep their memory nourished as pictures take you on little journeys in the shape of flashbacks.
Those pictures, they keep you grounded. You will always remember your roots.
