One year later.

Christmas 2014 and Riley Matthews has been going crazy for the entire day.

"Happy Christmas!"
"Calm down Riley. You're going to wake up your brother," Topanga said.

The young lady was just about having it with her twelve year old being entirely crazy about the holidays but didn't share that exactly right now.

"Why does he nap but I can't?" Riley asked.
"Because he is five and you're twelve," Topanga said and Maya rolled her eyes.
"I'm gonna go outside for a bit," Maya said and went out of the door.
"Okay that was weird," Riley said.
"When is she never weird?" Cory asked.

Maya was outside trying to get some air when she realized she just had to take on the world in the eye.
She goes back into the apartment seeing Auggie is running away.

"Ah just in time. The guests should show up at any moment," Cory said and the doorbell went off.
"Or right now. Mom, Dad welcome. Come in," Cory said.
"Thanks Cornelius," Amy said.
"Riley, Maya wow you girls have grown," Alan said.
"Especially you Riley. Can barely believe I'm a grandmother to a twelve year old," Amy said and Riley smiled.
"Look at all the children. Feels like just the other day I had children running around in the house," Alan said and Josh came through the door.
"Yeah wasn't it this morning Dad?" Josh asked as he threw the car keys over to his father taking his jacket off.
"And he's here. Hey Josh," Cory said.
"Hi Cory."

Josh looks over at Maya who looks really uncomfortable.
Riley gives him a look what says don't try and he shakes his head.

"Hey Maya," Josh said.
"Josh, hi. How are you?" Maya asked.
"I'm good. Hey Buddy," Josh said.
"Uncle Josh!" Auggie said causing Josh to pick him up.
"Wow you have grown. Last I saw you, you were this small," Josh said.
"Last you saw him he was barely two years old," Maya said.
"Yeah that's true. How have you been doing?" Josh asked.
"I'm okay," Maya said and Josh looked at her.
"Maya," Josh said.
"I'm fine, Josh. Don't worry," Maya said.
