It was a few days later and here Maya was yet again trying to play some kind of game.
She was definitely nervous to say that she has to be there since her mother hasn't been apart of her life for a few years but she didn't actually want to be here currently because with Cory and Riley it is always such a struggle to get them not to fight over the game.
Maya sat aside with Auggie trying to figure out how things actually should go when she eventually just gave up.
"Okay, I'm out of here," Maya said as she grabbed her jacket.
"Maya," Cory said causing Maya to look at him.
"I'm thirteen. I can walk on the street alone. Goodness, what is the problem?" Maya asked pulling her jacket over her arms.
"Mind if I walk with you? This games night is a disaster," Josh said.
"Sure," Maya said as Josh grabbed his jacket following Maya out of the door.
"No offense but my brother definitely doesn't know how to get everyone around one table for a games night. That was a disaster," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"Maybe but at least he's trying. I don't think he knows what he's actually doing," Maya said.
