Girl Meets Future

Maya was sitting in a room definitely very decorated for the season.
It was close to Christmas and she was so excited to finally spend it with her family.
She looked at the girl on her lap which turned the page to find a wedding photo of Maya and Josh.

"What was this?" she said and Maya smiled brushing her hair away.
"This was our very first Christmas as a couple. I was fifteen," Maya said.
"And Daddy was?"
"Eighteen. Your dad was eighteen, Penelope," Maya said.

Maya looked down at the six year old as she absolutely adored her daughter.
It was indeed strange how her life had turned out.
A toddler of just two years old came sitting down next to his mother and sister and Maya smiled.

"You bathed, Hunter?" Maya asked.
"Where is Daddy?" Penelope asked.
"Probably busy with Jenny," Maya said.

She thought for a quick second about her life.
A six year old daughter, a two year old son and a six month baby girl.
She was privileged.
She smiled seeing as Josh walked into the room with a freshly bathe Jenna.

"We ready for the movie?" Josh asked.
"Yay, Finding Dory," Penelope said.

Maya smiled as she looked at how Penelope sat down next to Josh as she helped Hunter up before lightly stroking Jenna's cheek.
Maya quickly snaps a photo with her phone before putting on the movie and sat down next to everyone putting Hunter on her lap.
Her family was completed and her life was full.
