While preparing for the fashion show, she never once saw him. Even with her friend trying to get them to "coincidentally" meet, they always passed by within minutes of each other. Maybe they just weren't meant to be.
Of course they finally met again on the day before the fashion show. WuAi had wanted to get to know her fellow models so she had turned around and to her surprise he was standing there. She quickly turned back around. Actually, maybe she didn't want to know her fellow models. Soon the music started and she followed the leading model out onto the runway.
Even though WuAi had only just started learning how to walk on the runway, she didn't stick out. In fact, her awkwardness fit well with her fluttering pale blue dress.
In the end, they decided that for the final runway, they would have the designer walk out first, and then followed by model pairs. Of course, WuAi was paired with the handsome guy.
"Hi, my name is WuAi." WuAi smiled at him and extended a hand.
He smiled widely, his dimples were imprinted into WuAi's mind, "The name's Yi," and he proceeded to grab her hand for a quick shake.
She stared up at him for a bit longer, "Yi as in the first son?"
"That's correct, but I'm the one and only child. No siblings."
"Oh same. I also don't have siblings!" They hit it off so well that when they posed for their couple runway, the designer wanted them next to her during the ending time.
With special wind effects and lights, the fashion show ended well. WuAi thought that that was going to be the last time she would meet Yi, but they somehow saw each other again at a cafe 45 minutes away from campus.
WuAi walked into her neighborhood cafe and saw someone who looked like Yi. She slowly approached him, while staring at his face intently. This was her first time seeing him with no make up and his hair was also down. She had an urge to tousle it. He was also dressed up in a suit and tie. When she got closer and was finally sure, she said, "Yi? What are you doing here?"
Yi raised his head from his laptop, "WuAi! What a surprise!" He laughed nervously, "I'm here for an interview, I'm practicing beforehand. What are you doing here?"
"I actually live around here. The barista here is a good friend of mine." Then they were enveloped in silence. They hit it off at the fashion show, so why were they suddenly so quiet?
This was WuAi's third time meeting him coincidentally so she was considering what to do next now. Since it seemed like it was fate, she could always just ask him out the next time they met. He seemed like he was busy.
"Then I'll leave you since you're busy. I'll see--"
"Actually, WuAi," Yi stared up into WuAi's eyes. He could see himself clearly reflected from her eyes and gulped, "Could you help me prepare for the interview? I'm a little nervous."
WuAi laughed, "Of course!" and she settled herself into the chair across from him.
They started role playing interviewer and interviewee until it was time for him to go across the street to the animation company.
Yi paused before walking across the street and readied himself, "Thanks for helping me WuAi. How about I get you dinner tonight for your help?"
WuAi had to think this through. Did she like him enough to go on a date with him? He was nice, he was courteous... and he was awkward, but it was cute. Honestly she didn't know him well enough. But why not? "Alright, that sounds good," WuAi smiled at Yi gently, "I'll be waiting here, bring back good news ok?" and then she winked at him before returning to the cafe.

They eventually became official months later.Oh, and he didn't get the job.
WuAi's mom, HenAi, would love to have him be her son-in-law.
