2 Year Time Jump

During assembly, everyone was introduced to the first Omega to join the military in history.

WuAi watched LiDong in surprise across the stage. The system did inform her of his progress, but that was it. When WuAi first set him up on a blind date, he had stormed over to the dorm after rejecting the Alpha. Stared at her hard, but never said anything. After calming down while watching WuAi who was ignoring him, he returned to his home.

WuAi didn't stay in contact with him at all,  this was her first time seeing him again. He had grown even taller, and in his uniform, he looked mature and confident. Unlike how he was back when he first got saved.

His eyes were still clear and straightforward. As she could feel his eyes bore into her. She focused on the General giving a speech. He talked about how we shouldn't be biased and have to be accepting of people. He talked about how LiDong was the one who fought against the great virus just earlier that year and how he was very much qualified for the 1st Legion.

WuAi's eyebrows shot through the roof, Hong84.

If the system could, it would shrug it's shoulder. It didn't feel the need to report every achievement he did. Since he constantly broke everyone's expectation.

Without receiving a response from the system, WuAi waited calmly for the assembly to end. Since he fought against the virus, he was probably going to work under MG#5--

"Brigadier. General. Li. Dong. Under. Major. General. Wu. Ai. Salute!"

A moment after everyone saluted, she then saluted.

What was this scenario.

...The system also didn't know how to respond. It could only say: Butterfly effect!

LiDong was even working directly below her. That means she was going to see him often and he would be allowed permission to live at her dorm.

WuAi's eyes connected with her left hand man, but he only shook his head in response. He didn't know about it either. He dropped contact after he left the house 2 years ago. They both knew WuAi's other Brigadier General was honorably retiring, but didn't think that...

After the assembly ended, WuAi escaped to her office. But she forgot, there was the daily meeting she had with her Brigadier Generals.

LiDong shortly entered her office and they stared at each other for a long time.

WuAi's hair had not been cut the last 2 years, and so it was long and in a loose bun. The military didn't seem to change her appearance at all. She was still wrinkle free, and her eyes always had a laughing twinkle in them. He wanted to reach out his hand to touch her face but held back.

ZuoShou had entered. They all stared at each other.

"Meeting is done." WuAi said, "Dismissed!" She turned to look at her computer.

ZuoShou grabbed LiDong, "Let me show you around!"

A moment later.

System55566688833: Female lead has officially met male lead! ... Female lead is absolutely smitten! ... Female lead is asking him to get a drink with her! ... Female lead--

Shut up Hong84. WuAi didn't need to know what was going to go on. She was in a bad mood. She felt that she needed a breather. She called XiaoPeng from MG#4 to go grab coffee.

"Well, I can't help but listen to your orders since you're a Major General!" XiaoPeng laughed, and then was dismissed by her supervisor.

They met at the canteen. The first thing XiaoPeng mentioned was LiDong.

"Wow! He looks so different now! It's like there's this charismatic aura around him."

WuAi narrowed her eyes at XiaoPeng. "I'm calling my brother to say you're cheating on him."

XiaoPeng only hmph-ed in return. "I know you," she wagged her fingers at WuAi, "You, you, you, what am I supposed to do with you."

"Just drink your coffee. I'm gonna call YiQing and say that there's this hot guy he should look out for."

"Drink, drink, drink," XiaoPeng only laughed. Like that, they sat there until lunch time.

LiDong slid her a tray of what she liked and sat down next to her with his own tray.

WuAi blurted out, "thanks," before she could stop herself. There seemed to be a gloom surrounding himself. He finally separated himself from ZuoShou only to be shown around by that damned female Alpha, Lieutenant General MingGuang.

With a look from LiDong, XiaoPeng said she had things to do and left. He immediately slid his tray over to sit across from WuAi. As he continued staring at her, his gloom slowly disappeared.

"Eat your food, Major General WuAi."

"That, I didn't need you to bring me my food."

"Don't misunderstand. This tray was meant for Lieutenant Colonel ZuiPengYou, but she left."

WuAi clearly remembered he placed a tray in front of her, then placed a tray in front of himself. It was never placed in front of XiaoPeng.

She slowly started to eat her food, and he kept pace with her.

"Excuse me."

Wasn't the female lead ever tired of interrupting conversations? I'm tired of saluting her.

WuAi gave up smiling and instead grimaced towards her, "Lieutenant General MingGuang."

"Major General WuAi." This was the 2nd surprised she received today. The things people did to attract other people. WuAi felt the need to buy a lottery ticket. "Oh, Brigadier General LiDong, you're here as well?" She sat down next to him. "I didn't see you earlier."

Another tray was placed next to WuAi. She looked up to see XiaoTian sit down next to her. He ignored MingGuang and faced WuAi to have some "serious" talk, but LiDong would also pull her attention over by placing food in front of her lips. He didn't like WuAi and XiaoTian talking so close together. What was there to talk about with someone under a different Major General compared to him, who was directly under her supervision?

He answered the female lead in short quips, and only looked attentively towards WuAi. But the female lead didn't give up. Why? Because she's the female lead and everything should belong to her.

When WuAi finished eating, LiDong and XiaoTian also finished. Being ignored by all 3 of them left her a bitter taste.

This was the beginning of the female lead's torture.
